Interaction designer
Talented Consumer Onboarding design team are seeking an Interaction Designer for a 12 month contract to create simple, personalised, end-to-end onboarding customer experiences on mobile apps and websites across multiple brands. The role will involve responsibility for all interaction design elements, from design thinking through to deployment, whilst ensuring empathy and creativity is injected into your work.
Sitting within a designated design team, you'll have the full support of like-minded creatives. You’ll also share knowledge and improve design methods as an active member of the Design community. This is a financial institution, however, is very much committed to a digital / UX design approach.
To succeed here we're looking for the following experience:
- Proven and demonstrable background at a senior level, experience in UX design for large scale projects.
- Advanced skills in competitor analysis, wireframing, journey mapping, prototyping, sketching.
- Experience of supporting user research activities.
- Proficiency with industry standard design and business tools such as Axure, InVision, Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma…
The role involves flexible working hours, agile working practices, and regular home working. The role is based in Edinburgh so a few days a month will ideally be spent in the Edinburgh office or, alternatively, another of the institution's offices. Senior Platform Services Analyst – London – Hybrid
A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
- Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
- Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
- Daily interaction with all internal stakeholders with regards to support issues
- Efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system to help identify trends and patterns

Skills:

- Good working knowledge of the FIX protocol
- Proven experience of supporting Windows Server environments
- Experience in troubleshooting network problems: i.e. firewall and routing problems
- Good understanding of international Equity market mechanics and flows
Desirable:
- Exposure to supporting message-based architecture
- Working knowledge of at least one buy-side or sell-side Order Management System
- Good understanding of Fixed Income market mechanics and flows

- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal trade desks, escalating to development teams appropriately
- Fulfilling client customisation requests within algorithmic trading systems and MTF platform
- Troubleshooting and analysis of order routing and trade flow and post-trade issues
- Managing team chats, queues, and mailboxes to ensure requests are being actioned in a timely manner with appropriate prioritization
- Ensuring incident and problem management procedures are followed and performing analysis to determine trends and patterns
