Interim (Fixed term) Senior Compliance Business Partner in London or Kent and home working Reporting to the Head of Compliance Advisory, working closely with business unit executive and senior managers, this role will arrange for compliance guidance to be provided on all aspects of the Bank’s business:

• Working closely and act as a key contact for the allocated business area
• Leading and managing compliance related aspects of strategic projects and initiatives.
• Mentor/SME for Compliance Advisory team and broader Risk Office.
• Ensuring that Senior Management Function Holders and Certification staff are effectively influenced to meet their regulatory obligations in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensuring the provision of commercially focussed and practical advice and challenge, on the application and implementation of regulatory requirements on all aspects of the business.
• Providing regulatory analysis of the impact of regulatory changes/requirements on the Bank’s business; provide informative and timely horizon reports, identify risks and required changes; and assist the business in implement those changes.
• Supporting the Head of Compliance Advisory in producing content for Board and internal committee reporting.
• Conducting risk based forward planning activity to ensure that material regulatory risks facing the business are allocated are identified and managed.
• Proactively review and evaluate allocated business MI, and where necessary investigate trends to establish if focused advisory activity is required.
• Reviewing and evaluate relevant monitoring and audit findings, identifying trends and work collaboratively with the business, Audit and monitoring in delivering effective remedial action arising from findings.

• Provide commercially focussed and practical advice on the implementation of legal and regulatory requirements on all aspects of the business.

• Excellent analytical and attention to detail skills.
• Participate in relationships with key stakeholders across the business to deliver positive regulatory solutions.
• Participate in working groups and ad hoc attendance at Committees, Forums, Working Groups.
• Have a clear understanding, vision of and contribute to the thought leadership involved in developing a positive compliance culture within the business.

    • Continually drive improvement and provide supporting metrics to stakeholders to demonstrate progress


    Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a test role
    • Financial services experience – in particular, wrap products (pension (SIPP), ISA and general account) desirable
    • Test lead experience preferred – but with the ability to remain hands on
    • Experience of both waterfall and agile delivery would be an advantage, as this role has exposure to both
    • 3rd party supplier experience, ideally with heavy integration
    • Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical partners

    My banking client is looking to secure a new operational risk partner to join their Operational risk department. The banks operational risk department is accountable for supporting the management of Operational and conduct risk within the bank. Providing guidance, support and assurance to senior management.

    The role itself involves:

    • The role itself is to ensure that the company has a comprehensive and accurate view of its risks.
    • Providing guidance, support and assurance to senior management.
    • The operational risk partner works within a growing and experienced risk management team who is accountable for ensuring a high quality analysis, advice and guidance on the management of operational and conduct risk.

    European retail banking firm seeks a Java Developer for a permanent position paying up to £105,000 within the firms highly agile Java development team based in London.

    The team is responsible for the development of the Core Banking Digital Platforms including Risk, Payments, Lending and Customer Data. They are in the process of expansion and require an additional Java Developer providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle with an emphasis using the latest Java technology stacks.
