Investment Analyst

£200 - £300 per day

Our client is a well regarded firm and are looking for an Invesmtent Operations Analyst.

They are looking in particular for an Analyst to join Investments on a 6 month basis. Working within Investment Operations this particular role will be part of the regulatory reporting team.

The ideal candidate would have a background in reporting would be advantageous as well as some experience of testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Some of the tasks performed and areas of responsibility for the role includes:
  • Testing and reviewing of reporting standards and processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements.
  • Prepare, review and oversight weekly and monthly client deliverables.
  • Own and run whole reporting cycles as planned, working with team for successful delivery.
  • Involvement in key automation project and continuous process improvements.
  • Develop strong, pro-active working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Management of various product and client documentation processes.

    Python/Java Developer required to work on the next generation of artificial intelligence(AI)/machine learning technology at a leading financial services brokerage in London.     C Quant/Strats Developer required - Associate/VP - Equities Trading - Business Reporting - £70k-£120k

    A market leading Quant/Strats team at a tier one investment bank require an exceptional C developer, ideally with some experience of Python to join their Equities Trading team. The team themselves work on the Equities Trading quantitative models and report dsirectly into the business. The role will provide the platform for a strong technologist and mathematician, to face off to Quants and Traders and work closely with them to implement cutting edge C models/solutions.

    This team require both exceptional technological skills (C on Windows) and mathematical/problem solving abilities (PhD in Mathematics or related subject highly desirable). Also a strong understanding of Derivative products, ideally Equities required.

    The succesful candidate can look to recieve between £70,000 and £120,000 base salary, either Associate or VP level (dependant on experience)

My highly regarded Financial Services client in Edinburgh urgently requires a Reporting Accountant to join their existing Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare IFRS group submissions for specified subsidiary companies, ensuring compliance with Group requirements.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for a range of subsidiary entities.
  • Develop an understanding of the detailed accounting for the transactions recorded in the ledgers.
  • Ensure all accounting data is prepared and reported in accordance with relevant reporting standards and business reporting requirements.
  • Provide input into the development of financial reporting processes to ensure the production of the required financial reports in as efficient a manner as possible.
  • Undertake project work to support the development of robust and effective financial reporting and investment accounting data.
  • Investigation and resolution of queries from the wider finance team
  • Provide ad hoc support for the wider finance team processes (e.g. ledger close)
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, regulatory reporting standards and industry practice in order to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Apply theoretical accounting principles to complex practical situations.
  • Support the work of the team analysis through review and technical advice
  • Represent the Reporting Team at both departmental and inter-departmental meetings
