FX Business Analyst

Our client is looking to bring in a contract Business Analyst to help deliver technology implementations within the FX team.

Key responsibilities

  • Business Analysis and testing to support product development.
  • Assisting in the development of cost models for existing and new initiatives.
  • Identifying issues, risks, dependencies to ensure accurate planning.
  • Managing any issues within the in-house development environments

Essential skills

  • Experience in Business Analysis/Operations within Investment Banking environment
  • Microsoft Project experience.
  • Strong written communications, familiar with Excel.
  • Pro-activeness in Coordination / Project Management in structured Framework.
  • Ideally some awareness of FX business

  • Java Developers-Contract-Edinburgh up to £400 p/d
    £350 - £400 per day

    I am looking for Java Developers (Contract) for an innovative FinTech business with offices based in central Edinburgh. This will be a long-term contract offering a daily rate in a region of £350-£400 (DOE). If you have evidence of extensive work covering full Software Development Life-cycle using Java technical stack, this opportunity will allow you to work in a truly vibrant and collaborative environment.

    To qualify for this position, you will be able to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge of the following tools and methodologies:

    • Extensive experience delivering projects using Java 8 (older editions of Java can also be considered)
    • Strong knowledge and experience of full SDLC
    • Knowledge and/or experience with Java related frameworks like Spring and Hibernate
    • Previous exposure to Cloud products (ideally AWS)
    • Ideally, you will have experience working with APIs and its integration
    • Ideally, you have been working on SaaP type of projects before

  • IT Operations Engineer / 3rd Line
    £50000 - £55000 per annum + 15% Shift Allowance

    IT IOperations Engineer - L3 - Windows - Unix - Powershell - Permanent

    In exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Analyst to join a global financial services client in the City. They have a number of international sites that require system administration from their IT Operations department in London. This includes the implementation of change requests, user account/E-mail administration, hardware and disk space monitoring, file transfers / data replication, data backup / archiving, running various operational processes on Windows and UNIX platforms and assisting other IT teams with general support and deduction of process issues.

    This role is shift based, alternating on a weekly basis between 7am to 3pm and 11am to 7pm.

    Skills and experience required:

    • IT experience using Windows and UNIX
    • PowerShell scriptings skills highly advantageous
    • Understanding of job scheduling and programming with automation products (preferably Automic UC4, DOS/Windows Script - Command line knowledge)
    • Windows Domain and Active Directory Administration
    • UNIX Operations experience (basic command line knowledge)
    • MS Exchange Administration
    • Experience of change management concepts and process
    • Windows Workstation configuration
    • Basic working knowledge of database technologies (ie MS SQL Server and Oracle)
    • Basic understanding of DHCP, DNS, WINS, TCP/IP and other networking protocols
    • Netbackup Enterprise administration and monitoring
    • VMWare – basic working knowledge of virtual server concepts
    • A solid understanding of IT security principles, problem solving skill, and practical experience of IT security controls

  • Programme Test Manager - Large Scale, FMCG - Cotnract

    I am currently looking for an experienced Programme Test Manager to join a large-scale logistics, FMCG firm based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a brand-new project within the business.


    • Overall responsibility for the E2E test planning, strategy, monitoring, control and delivery of the testing activities and tasks within the programme
    • Test new applications and changes for several key applications
    • Managing multiple testing teams in within a large organisation
    • Work closely with internal/external stakeholders, product/ project managers, development teams, service owners or IT delivery management teams
    • Prioritise several deliverables, whilst dealing with other priorities
    • Accountable for all Functional and Non-Functional Test phases
    • Accountable for monitoring/reporting progress of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies of testing
    • Recommend the appropriate tools and identify areas that are suitable for automation and manual

    Essential skills/ experience

    • Experienced Programme Test Manager
    • Experience managing the overarching design, development and delivery of large-scale testing engagements across a broad range of platforms and business areas
    • Prior experience managing E2E testing of multiple applications in unison
    • Strong experience managing large teams (automation and manual)
    • Strong understanding of the SDLC
    • Experience dealing with conflicts within teams
    • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies


    Location- London

    Rate - £450 - £550 p/d
