As a Director of IT Quality Management, you will provide oversee, consult and manage the Quality Management System, including but not limited to, IT governance strategy, the strategy Quality roadmap and building the Knowledge Management within Group IT.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Group IT lead in terms of Quality Management
  • Provide insight and experience into the development and implementation of IT Quality Management Systems
  • Evaluate project data, identify projects requiring intervention, escalate in a timely fashion to higher authority and/or implement corrective actions
  • Coach project and domain managers on department processes, templates, tools, standards
  • Drive and implement documents control procedures for best-practice Knowledge Management
  • Understand and drive adoption of Project Management and Solution Delivery Methodologies, Quality Management and Testing methodologies by Project Teams
  • Create, implement and drive improvements across a Reporting Framework for Group IT
  • Provide advisory on best practices and governance relating to Project Delivery, Quality Management and Knowledge Management
  • Provide training and support to enable Teams to adopt all existing and new methodologies within Group IT for improved quality
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure Quality Assurance and perform Quality Control for selected projects
  • Managing vendors, negotiations with suppliers and managing the procurement process
  • Oversee internal audit of quality management and compliance of standards approved by top management
  • Measure the effectiveness of existing Project Management, Quality Management and Service Management methodologies framework, and news methodologies or frameworks introduced
  • Perform gap analysis to identify areas of improvement for our existing Project Delivery, Service Management and Quality Management methodologies
  • Continue to improve existing our Project Delivery, Service Management and Quality Management methodologies to achieve operational excellence using Lean Six Sigma and other tools
  • Coach project teams on quality assurance & control matter; Project Delivery, Service Management and Quality Management methodologies
  • Builds relationships with internal & external stakeholders and resolves any issues associated with the consulting and/or project delivery activity

Degree in Information Systems or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in governance, quality assurance or audit function

10 years of experience in a project, program, knowledge and change management role delivering IT-based projects, in accordance with PMI standards and based on standard SDLC methodology

    An opportunity to join the Finance Function as a Senior Financial Controller has arisen as a result of increased reporting requirements and significant internal projects. Working in a team, your role will include over-seeing the financial control, management and regulatory reporting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise the production of the regulatory returns including ensuring an appropriately detailed review of all regulatory returns are completed ahead of submission to CFO and/or externally.
    • Lead the production of the statutory financial statements and annual accounts of the Bank and to ensure these are prepared in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with statutory requirements and IFRS
    • Lead the preparation, update and maintenance of all policy and procedure manuals.
    • In conjunction with other business managers and functional heads, ensure that adequate accounting and other records and internal controls in the finance areas are maintained
    • Lead the production of all required documentation to support the SAO certification on an annual basis.
    • Co-ordinate the external audit function of books and records, and statutory and regulatory financial statements.
    • Assist the Head of Finance to Lead, motivate, and develop staff in the finance and accounting function


    Skills & Qualifications

    • Professional qualification in accounting/finance discipline
    • Experience working at a similar level, within accounting, banking or auditing fields with line management experience, preferably in the financial services sector
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products and database skills are highly desirable
    • Highly competent in communicating orally and in producing written reports.
    • An in depth knowledge of accounting standards and theory, and financial management principles and techniques, including planning, forecasting and budgeting, and the ability to apply them effectively in banking environment
    • Knowledge of UK taxation and regulatory requirements ( CRR, CRD IV)
    • Proficiency in making financial evaluations and judgments and an ability to present recommendations, both oral and written

  • Compliance Integration Manager - Pensions
    £65000 - £83000 per annum

    Pensions Compliance Integration Manager is part of the team that are designing the new framework. This role will report into the Director of Service Design and the Director of Compliance.

    Deliverables:

    • Have accountability for the definition, translation and embedding of regulatory risk appetite and culture to the programme so that it can be applied to the design of processes and compliance management controls, including financial crime, information security and data protection with reference to subject matter experts within the business
    • Ensure that design decisions have understood and applied the regulatory requirements and apply the decision making and escalation protocols that provides approval of decisions within the parameters of risk appetite and contractual provisions
    • In conjunction with the provider, design and create a framework for oversight of the compliant delivery of the outsourced services by the provider that is within regulatory and compliance risk appetite
    • Provide requirements to the Risk Integration Manager to enable the testing of key controls
    • Communicate the approach to the management of regulatory risk to the operational teams which will be overseeing the delivery of services with the provider during and post integration
    • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the applicable regulatory requirements and compliance framework in order to lead and conclude design and option discussions concerning the development of the provider’s approach to compliance procedures and controls
    • Identify and contribute to the workstream’s delivery risks
    • Work closly with other second line functions in order to facilitiate the setting of appropriate compliance assurance plans.

    • Execute the approach throughout the implementation phase so that the provider’s approach to the design of processes and controls is aligned to the firms requirements
    • Provide regular summary papers to programme board on progress
    • Design an escalation process for the resolution of annomollies and disputes regarding regulatory interpretation or application to be made within the programme, within the programme’s existing decision making processes; provide papers for governance and decision making for escalated topics
    • Training for operational teams on the interpretation and application of the oversight framework during and post integration
    • Input into the control validations of key processes carried out by the Risk Integration Manager and approve the provider’s documentation of control validation processes
    • Provision of regulatory interpretation to the programme including, but not limited to the interpretation and resolution of pensions legislation including application of guidance, intrepretation of provisions and implementation of reporting and notification requirements.
    • The role will spend time with the 2nd line compliance assurance team to ensure consistency of style and approach and keep 2nd compliance assurance team informed
    • The role will involve working and collaborating with colleagues and third parties at a senior level
    • The role will also interact with supplier compliance teams and wider programme
    • The role requires that the individual be comfortable with working on their own and delivering work within specific deadlines.


    Experience and technical skills:

    • Experience of desiging framework for oversight of outsourced activities from a compliance perspective
    • Significant track record of delivering pragmatic business focused advice in a large scale pension environment
    • Technical expertise in relation to trust based defined contribution occupational pension schemes
    • Significant experience of the legislative provisions of the automatic enrolment regime and their practical application
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of HMRC and TPR requirements, regulatory codes of practice and guidance
    • Experience of delivering programmes and projects linked to process improvment
    • Engage and influence at an executive and senior management level, manage stakeholders including negotiating and collaboration
    • Ability to communicate concepts clearly and apply decisions into workable processes.

    Qualifications:

    • The following professional qualifications, or progress towards them, would be desirable:
    • APMI, ACII or FIA
    • Other pensions-related qualifications such as the PMI’s automatic enrolment or DC Governance qualifications would be useful
    • Experience working in, or advising on, master trust pension schemes may would be useful.
