Fast paced IT Production Support team requires an experienced Technical Analyst to take on a 6month contract to help deliver a variety of new operating procedures within various ITIL Service Operations processes.

To apply for this role you should have a strong background in:-

  • IT Service Operations / Service Management
  • In-depth IT Analysis skills (e.g. requirements gathering, technical document writing)
  • ITIL
  • Most of Incident / Request / Problem / Knowledge Management, Data Fixes, Early Life Support, Service Reporting, Service Operations Operating Model
  • Must be a confident in analysis techniques, and while general guidance will be given, a high element of self-management will be required in seeing each task through from start to completion.

    • Experience of working with financial accounting systems and the ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex financial data to a range of audiences.


    Essential

    • International Tax experience
    • Professional accounting and/or tax qualification ACA, CTA or equivalent
    • Experience of working with cross-border organisations and managing global tax risks
    • Experience of UK corporate tax compliance and group tax reporting under IFRS, FRS101 and FRS 102
    • Understanding appropriate processes and controls required in a global organisation, for the management of direct taxes
    • Keeping abreast of UK direct tax law and its application, specifically the spirit and intention of the law
    • In-house experience
    • The ability to demonstrate strategic thinking
    • Experience of tax controversy in either the UK or overseas.


    Desirable

    • Media industry experience but not a nessisity

Cyber security/network vulnerability consultant required for an initial 12 month contract with a global financial services clients Glasgow based offices. The main remit of the role is to improve vulnerability management and associated assets which are spread across the different network compartments. To be successful in this role you will have be able to do most or all of the below:

  • Taking large sets of scan data, analysing by spinning up scripts (PS, Perl or Python)), correlate vulnerabilities in the network and report those to business for remediation
  • Working on projects across the whole organisation globally so many different types of networks
  • Understanding of network topology to be able to correlate the vulnerabilities
  • Liaising with different departments to facilitate data collection and analysis. You won’t be responsible for fixes, only identifying and reporting

Linux Engineer

Delivery Manager (Desktop Apps / Azure)

Well known Edinburgh FS organisation requires a Project Delivery Manager to assist with the migration of desktop apps on a major platform move. The tech stack involved will be based round Azure Dev Ops - so some awareness of related tech will be beneficial, although you don't require expert hands on level knowledge.

Working with a variety of technical teams your main responsibility will be ensuring the timely delivery of each phase of the migration. There are set timescales in place for the platform move so effective Project and Relationship Management (dealing with 3rd party providers) will be key.

We’re looking for most of the following experience: -

  • Track record of delivering desktop apps and platform migrations
  • Strong project and delivery management skills
  • Azure cloud experience
  • DevOps understanding e.g. Jenkins, Github, automation
  • Effective people manager / influencer

This role will likely be assessed as inside IR35, and although remote working initially there will be essential delivery meetings scheduled for later in year so you will need to be able to work on-site when required.
