Java Architect Lead VP Front Office Trading Investment Bank
Fantastic Opportunity for a Lead Java Software Engineer VP Level for one of the world’s leading Investment Banks. Leading a small team of 3 Java developers in London combined with global teams in in Singapore and New York.
The team works in partnership with Front Office stakeholders to build and implement the strategic platform for the Algorithmic Indices business. This is a hands-on development role that will allow the successful candidate the autonomy to deliver strategic market data pricing solutions within this key area of the firm.
It is expected that he successful candidate will have technical oversight of the platforms long term strategic direction including technology choices as the firm move on a cloud based architecture.
Experience of working with a front office trading desks would be beneficial Fixed Income/Equities or E-Trading experience. Computer Science or related degree.
Technical skills required:
- Proven track record in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST
- The latest Agile methodologies
- Interest in the latest technology stackes and how it can be integrated into the firms’ current set up
- Java Multi-Threading
- Proven experience for system design and architecture
- Excellent organisational and communications skills both written and verbal.
- Commercially driven and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Cloud architecture both Private and Public not a prerequisite to have prior experience but be williness to pick this up in the role
Desirable technical skills:
- Understanding or working knowledge of Python, React, would be an advantage.
- Java software delivery background gained in a front-office environment
- Understanding of Algorithmic indices and/or cross-asset derivatives / structured products

A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
- Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
- Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
- Daily interaction with all internal stakeholders with regards to support issues
- Efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system to help identify trends and patterns

- Assist with product testing and project work
Skills:
