This Java Developer will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining efficient and robust data consolidation, aggregation, and reporting framework within a major Market risk business unit for a Global Investment Bank.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the application architecture using ActivePivot technology, ensuring scalability, robustness, and fault tolerance, and will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues around data processing, performance and set-up. The role requires a self-starter who can drive/facilitate requirements and development effort, design smart and scalable solutions while following the bank standards and best practices, and prepare and maintain system documentation, including program descriptions and operational procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with ActivePivot and 10+ years of Java development experience
  • Strong data modelling skills, OLAP & MDX,
  • Agile experience with TDD
  • Experience working within a microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Cloud Storage), exposure to Messaging Technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitQ, Spring Stream), and working with Docker and Kubernetes, microservice patterns is a plus.
  • Good Market Risk domain experience preferred
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, good communication skills in both written and oral English, ability to be organised and multi-task on different requirements across various stakeholders, and to work independently and under pressure

    A well known aviation business is seeking a permanent Business Development Manager to support the delivery of the EMEA B2B revenue income targets through proactive sales approaches.

    The Business Development Manager will:

    • Identify and close: To research, identify, approach and close new sales opportunities within the EMEA region.
    • Collaboration: To work with colleagues internally to support the presales process (pitch presentations etc).
    • New client mobilisation: To support the new client mobilisation process.
