A global leading Bank that specialise in multi-asset classes are seeking a senior Java developer to work on a Greenfield trading eFX dashboard system. This is an opportunity to join a leading bank who offer Greenfield projects and direct interaction with the business where technology and delivery is the heart of their success.

This role will give you the opportunity work with bleeding edge technology to build an eFX trading platform from scratch.

This is an opportunity to use your expertise in software delivery and utilise the best dev practices across front, middle and back office utilising the full Java stack. You will need to have a deep working knowledge on the latest version of Java and have good experience with using TDD and an Agile methodology. The systems that are required to be built need to be multi-tiered architecture, so experience with this is essential and experience with the latest threading and concurrent programming skills is a must.

Key requirements for this role are as follows:

  • At least 5 years commercial experience as a Java Developer
  • Previously worked with low latency applications - does not have to be for a financial markets firm.
  • Passionate about working closely with the business

  • Legal Counsel
    £70000 - £90000 per annum

    Legal Counsel for a middium size Bank with responsibilities including:

    • To draft, review and approve banking facility agreements with emphasis on trade finance facilities
    • To advise on legal risk deriving from either the documentation or transaction structure

    • Knowledge of Risk Participations, both funded and unfunded
    • Knowledge of Hedging and Treasury documentation – ISDA, GMRA
    • Knowledge of Property Finance – Investment finance and property development finance
    • Competence at drafting agreements without precedents
    • Capable of utilising legal knowledge in one specialism in unfamiliar situations
    • Capable of suggesting and agreeing alternative Legal solutions to presented structures
    • Understanding of banking regulatory framework, particularly FCA customer rules
    • Demonstrable experience in developing good relationships with Business teams
    • Prepared to work across the spectrum of simple to complex documentation

    Experience and qualifications required:

    • Qualified English Solicitor (Circa 3-5 years PQE)
    • Strong law firm training on both legal competencies and subject knowledge
    • Capable of working with light supervision on Trade Finance Facility documentation
    • Capable of working with little supervision on LMA Documentation
    • Experience of EMEA finance markets

    This role will play a key part in building a comprehensive pensions and benefits offering for its employees.
