Java Engineer - Greenfield Platform build - Up to SVP/ £150,000 salary

A forward-thinking team within a leading Investment banking organisation is at the early stages of ambitious growth plans in 2022 by developing a complete greenfield digital banking platform in London.
They require multiple platform-minded Java software engineers, with strong experience of; agile, cloud-native environment
This team of highly passionate technologists has been given a huge budget and priority status across the business to build out a wide-reaching, entire company impacting platform that is used by 1000s of internal developers and even more external customers.
The team has extremely ambitious plans and needs multiple outside-the-box thinking developers of all levels and skillsets to make this happen.
With the first lines of code written very recently, this is about as greenfield as you will get. The platform itself is not banking specific so prior experience in finance is not needed.
They are looking for framework and platform-minded developers over application developers
Requirements:
- Solid experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Golang, Kotlin, Scala, Node.JS.
- Experience in a cloud-native environment (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Working knowledge with microservices
- A passion for working on scalable systems and embracing new technologies

Main Duties
Primarily the role will involve working with the UK team to develop their in-house screen system technology, whilst actively supporting any issues the US business team may find. You may also be required to assist the rest of the team with a wide variety of development projects.

You will also help transition workloads from on premise to cloud.
