Java FX Options Trading Developer – Contract – Umbrella/PAYE – Remote/London
One of the most successful Banks in the world is looking for an expert level java developer to work for their FX Options Trading Desk and enhance their electronic offering to clients globally. They are investing heavily at this time to enhance their position within the FX market, with particular focus on their London Headquarters for this desk.
The role will require development of both greenfield components and enhancements to legacy systems, working with Quants and Traders on models and also working on low level advanced technical enhancements, with a big focus on low latency systems development
You must be an expert in multi-threaded java, with experience on low latency, high performance systems. This is a fast paced, high action environment!
Up to £700 per day! 12 month contract
Requirements overview:

- Ability to run a project within a team and as an individual
- Experience working with Quants/Traders (Ideally FX Options knowledge)

- Core Java - including low level programming (threading, sockets, low latency etc)
- Cash equities (big plus, however, not a must have)
- Algo development - experience writing execution strategies
- Experience working on the trading floor
- Ability to work closely with quants/traders/stakeholders
Tasks required for the Equities Algo Java Developer; up to £120k role:
You will be working in a brand new team that will work closely with the equities algo trading quants on the design and development of high performance trading strategies for the equities algo business. Whilst this is a development reasonable maths skills will also be required. The team are very happy to consider candidates with a strong interest in algorithmic programming who have an in depth knowledge of core Java including the internal workings of the JVM. You will also be required to demonstrate solid problem solving skills. You will be responsible for building high performance trading systems as well as working on the design and development of algo trading strategies. Any level of experience will be considered but some banking is essential.
