Java Low Latency Efx Developer - Contract
Global Banking Firm and a leader in the FX Electronic Trading Technology space. Are in the market for an experienced Java Developer. Join as a senior Java developer working to enhance the firms low-latency FX algorithmic trading platform. The involves working closely with the FX quant and eTrading desks, you will be building and maintaining primarily Java services which include market connectivity, pricing, risk management and order execution. Knowledge of low-latency programming techniques, appreciation of mechanical sympathy and a drive to solve complex problems will be key to success in this position.
- Excellent Java programming skills with focus on low latency programming
- Experience of developing low latency trading systems, with a solid understanding of concurrency and Java and system performance tuning, along with messaging, persistence and distribution.
- Good communications skills.
- Excellent academic record with a numerate degree in computer science, maths, physics or engineering.
- Willing to learn or have knowledge of KDB
- Full lifecycle development of front office trading platforms with ideal candidate focusing on significant development of high-frequency trading or pricing systems.
- Experience of modern requirements for security, encryption, cyber threats and how to go about security systems to meet those requirements.

A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
- Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
- Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
