Junnior Cloud Engineer

£200 - £260 per day

Our Client a leading investment bank are currently recruiting for a contract Junior Cloud Oporations Engineer with solid technical skills to join their Devops Team based in London. The Engineer will be required to help kick off a big transition project, moving the infrastructure from their Linux servers to azure.

Key Requirements:

- You must have a Computer Science Degree
- 1-2 years of IT experience
- Design and implement Software Defined Infrastructure using cloud standards and methodologies
- Engineer solutions using Microsoft Azure services
- Implement infrastructure, build and project automation using Powershell
- Architect and implement elastic and server-less infrastructure using auto-scaling and lambda services
- Work with state of the art tools such as VSTS, Azure Resource Management, PowerShell DSC, Docker or Sonarqube
- Work in conjunction with IT, engineering, and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements
- Experimentation with new cloud technologies to define their use cases/suitability

Key Skills;

- Development platforms e.g. .NET, Java, JavaScript, SAP,
- Tools: e.g.: Jenkins, Git, Jira, Docker, ELK, Nexus, SonarQube, Ansible.
- Cloud platforms: e.g.: Azure, AWS, Google Compute Engine.

    The Head of Change Delivery is responsible for delivering business-wide transformation within their assigned area. The role will have ultimate accountability for management, planning and governance of change initiatives, ensuring they are aligned to the strategy and deliver value to our members and students. This will require close collaboration with other Heads of Change Delivery and stakeholders to co-ordinate change.

    On a day to day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

    • Define the programme governance and structure to ensure deliverables are achieved within budget, responding and taking corrective measures as required
    • Identify critical business processes and drive change through Six Sigma methodology to achieve efficiencies, cost reductions and improved customer experience – taking into account mitigation of risk
    • Build strong relationships at Leadership level and across other stakeholder groups to ensure ongoing support for change programme

    Ideally, we’re looking for someone with the following:

    • Highly skilled and experienced in change delivery to command respect and influence peer group and wider area
    • Experience of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
    • Experience of lean sigma process improvement tools and techniques
    • A solid understanding and experience of change management in practice, along with supporting principles, methodologies and tools
