Job Title: Lead Front-Office Technologist for FX Trading Platform

Location: London

Salary: up to £130k

Working model: Hybrid

Job Description:

A global financial company is seeking an experienced front-office technologist to lead the design and development of a new FX Order Management System for their flagship FX trading platform. As a member of their global FX Technology team, the successful candidate will work closely with Product, Sales and Traders to understand the requirements of both internal and external users, and provide the ability to develop and deliver those solutions. They will also work closely with BAs, PMs, technical leads, QA testers, and Quantitative Developers to design, develop, and deliver solutions in line with the strategic architectural direction of the wider FX platform rebuild.

• Lead the design and development of a new FX Order Management System

• Work closely with Product, Sales and Traders to understand requirements for both internal and external users

• Document new requirements in JIRA and progress them as deliverables within the team

• Participate in the wider FX technical community on strategic platform enhancement initiatives

• Interact with both senior Front Office Trading and Sales stakeholders at the Director and Managing Director level across multiple regions

• Participate in discussions on strategic evolution of the platform and roadmap formation

Requirements:

• Proven decision-making skills, strong analytical skills, and evaluative judgement

• Demonstrated experience in defining and delivering solutions to meet the needs of demanding Front Office stakeholders

• Experience with developing and supporting front-office applications and systems in a global environment

• Experience with vendor applications and a variety of technologies

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal policies and standards

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Proven track record in designing and constructing Algorithmic Execution and/or Order Management Systems, preferably in FX or other asset classes such as equities.

• Proficient in Java development with demonstrated ability to manage teams of developers and testers.

• Experience working with microservice architecture, cloud infrastructure, and principles.

• Strong advocate of modern software development best practices.
