Lead SIEM Engineer – Permanent – QRadar – Resilient – Nottingham

We are searching for a lead SIEM Engineer to work with our market-dominating client’s QRadar platform. This role is based in Nottingham and is a really great opportunity to elevate your career in a lead / hands-on managerial position.


  • Responsible for the monitoring and stability of the SIEM platform
  • Develop integration and automation solutions to extend the capability of IBM QRadar and Resilient
  • Gather use case requirements and develop solutions for the cyber threat detection team
  • Remediate ongoing and new SIEM Application defects / process failures
  • Facilitation of SIEM Change Requests (upgrades, tuning, break fixes etc.)
  • Onboard new application and platform logs via syslog, endpoint agents, and APIs
  • Build and maintain operational documentation to support SIEM platform
  • Serve as the lead SIEM Engineer while mentoring and developing junior members of the team

Essential Requirements

  • Strong experience with IBM QRadar in an engineering/consultative capacity
  • Demonstrable QRadar integration and application development skills using the App SDK and RestAPI
  • Proficient in development and maintenance of Python script language (v2.7 and v3.x)
  • Strong Linux/UNIX and/or Windows administration skills
  • Good understanding of network transport protocols and services (TCP/IP, Syslog, ODBC, SFTP, SSH, PKI, etc.)
  • Good understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Experience handling multiple projects, deadlines, and resources with minimal supervision
  • Possess excellent written, verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Occasional travel including international travel may be required (team meetings, training, etc.) up to 15% of the time.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in BASH, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell script languages
  • Experience with administration and integration/automation of IBM Resilient
  • Experience with SOAR or similar automation/orchestration technologies
  • Experience working as a member of a geographically diverse team
  • SANS, Microsoft, Linux, Networking, or Security certifications

  • Company Accountant
    Up to £45000 per annum

    The Role

    • The successful candidate will manage all financial operations for the UK subsidiary, and report into the Finance Manager at the Head Office in France.
    • Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the accountant’s day-to-day work.


    • Post and process journal entries with Cost Center allocation to ensure all business transactions are recorded
    • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
    • Prepare vendor payments
    • Review of expenses submitted by employees
    • Manage payroll process and liaise with our UK payroll provider
    • Examine bank statements and reconcile them with general ledger entries
    • Prepare inter-company account reconciliation
    • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
    • Update financial data in Netsuite to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
    • Prepare, reconcile and analyse monthly management accounts
    • Prepare monthly/yearly closings (accruals/prepaid expenses…)
    • Take responsibility for ensuring all documentation is in place for auditing purposes
    • Prepare cash flow forecasts
    • Manage any accounting projects if needed (process implementation)


    • 3-5 years commercial experience
    • Bachelor's degree, preferably finance
    • Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
    • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting practices
    • Strong accuracy skills, with impeccable attention to detail
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
    • Strong interpersonal skills and high EQ
    • Can work well autonomously and within a team
    • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Advanced Excel skills - vlookup, pivot tables
    • Knowledge of Netsuite (ORACLE) is an advantage for candidates

  • Application Support Analyst (Windows/ IIS)- Insurance- Contract
    £400 - £450 per day

    I am currently looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst (Windows/ IIS) to join a top insurance organisation based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

    Principal duties and responsibilities:

    Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the application suite

    Troubleshooting any issues that arise and implement fixes as required

    Provide assistance to other IT support teams for issues

    Trend recurring incidents and provide suitable long term solutions

    Work closely with the Database Administrators and Storage teams in relation to incidents, capacity management & service improvements

    Technical liaison with vendors as required

    Provide on-call support on a regular basis, working in a shift pattern

    Essential skills/experience:

    Experienced Application Support Analyst

    Windows Enterprise Operating Systems (Windows 2003 and above)

    Managing web applications (IIS/Application Server Roles)

    Networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

    Database connection methods (Oracle, SQL)

    Supporting web-based applications

    Good understanding of:

    Source Control Management

    Scripting (especially PowerShell)

    Citrix environments and application delivery via Citrix

    VMWare / Virtulisation

    Microsoft Dynamics CRM


    £400- £450 per day
