Contract Financial Analyst - £350/£375 a day

£325 - £375 per day



McGregor Boyall are working with one of the largest/prestigious Media companies within the UK who are urgently looking for a FP&A Analyst (Financial planning and analysis) to help provide robust sales and analysis to finance teams and business managers across the organisation.

  • Length: Initial 3-month contract (with a view to extend due to high demand)
  • Daily Rate: £300 - £375 a day
  • Working status: Inside of IR35
  • Client: Working for a prestigious Media Company
  • Location: Central London

Your day to day:

  • Support FP&A Manager, Head of Commercial Finance and the business in all aspects of the annual budget, forecast and long-term planning processes, including consolidation and analysis of regional plans and developing P&L, balance sheet and cash forecasts where required
  • Interpret financial information and analysis, supporting effective management decisions using benchmarking, trends and other planning and forecasting methods; develop and implement improvements to the planning processes
  • Support the FP&A Manager to produce ad hoc and routine analysis to a high standard, including recommendations and understanding of business objectives
  • Identify opportunities for analysis, delivering to the Head of Commercial Finance and FP&A Manager when requested, to support decision-making
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practice ways of working across the FP&A team and finance function

Must haves:

  • Worked within the Media / Broadcasting space
  • FP&A experience
  • Preferably qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or similar) or with proven experience as an Analyst or Management Accountant in a commercial business environment

Rules & Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provision of Compliance input to the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR)
  • provision of compliance support on all regulatory matters including: new business initiatives; regulatory analysis of relevant legislation, rules and guidance; and liaison with, including the making of any relevant notifications to the FCA.
  • oversight of compliance with the FCA’s rules on systems and controls against money laundering and the provision of an annual MLRO report to the Governing Body.
