Responsibility

  • Carry out risk based audits across the business and other projects as assigned by senior management, to provide assurance that material risks faced by the bank are being adequately managed;
  • Execute and help to develop the London branch Internal audit plan;
  • Support the continual development of the internal audit methodology;
  • Audit various business areas of the bank in in line with strategic instructions;
  • Assess, identify and report any issues of weakness within control and devise remediating solutions for any issues found;
  • Work alongside internal departments to analyse issues and formulate resolutions
  • Ensure our internal audit process and reports are aligned with local regulations and Head Office’s requirements;
  • Other Ad hoc duties as required


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher;
  • Minimum 2 years internal audit / internal audit experience gained within banking environment, ideally within international branch;
  • Exposure to wholesale and corporate banking activities;
  • Good report writing and communication skills;
  • Demonstrable good understand of audit and up-to-date technical knowledge;


The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for this role will have the following exposure:

  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA qualified preferred, or working towards these qualifications;
  • Working experience in top auditing firm viewed favourably but not essential;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems.
  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Results and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Willing to do international travel to other offices when required, though not frequent.
  • As this is a growing bank, our client is looking for a candidate who is interested in occasionally lending their skillset and oppinions to other areas of the bank to enable growth

  • Employee Relations Advisor
    £500 - £550 per day

    I am seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to cover a 6 month interim contract to support the HR Partners and key business stakeholders on all aspects of employee relations, policy and legislation within an investment management organisation.

    Core responsibilities include:

    • Ensuring the effective manager of ER-related risks (legal, financial and reputations for employee relations including disciplinary, grievances, litigation case management, restructures/reorganisations and performance management
    • Act as the internal escalation and expert on all aspects of ER and build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders
    • Ensure all ER strategy, policies and processes are compliant with legislation and tie in effectively with both commercial and functional HR requirements
    • Apply and utilise ER metrics to offer sound solutions and manage risk
    • Assist with project management that may include M&A activity or reorganisation exercises as required, including any related redundancy exercises

    Key skills & experience required:

    • Qualified up to degree level or equivalent
    • Demonstrable Employee Relations and/or HR Business Partner with substantial ER experience
    • Extensive experience of UK employment law and/or working as an employee relations specialist within the UK, in a fast paced business environment, working within Investment Management or Financial Services
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrable stakeholder engagement with excellent consultative skills
    • Strong analytical mindset and skills to take meaningful information and interpret to support the business
    • Ability to deal with multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively and accurately in a fast-paced environment

Infrastructure Audit background is key as is the ability to preare, plan and steer group wide IT Audits. The team will be relativley light in numbers at this stage so we require someone with the ability to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in at all levels, however there will be significant ramp up in the size of this team / function hence the requirement to identify an experienced IT Audit Director/leader to have the capability of managing this.

Someone with a good background in utilising analytics to drive top down risk based audits and to look to make their division "best in class" in this area. The position has global exposure for the group and therefore has considerable exposure and influence on strategic decision makers in the organisation.

You will set the direction, take responsibility for assessing & reporting to committies on the efficiency, design and capability of framework of controls across the group.

You will:

  • Have extensive IT Audit exposure preferably from within a leading financial services organisation
  • Previously led large diverse teams
  • Communicated to executive stakeholders including board level interaction
  • Highly capable in managing and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Professional IT Audit qualification a must: CISA, CISM, CISSP or equivelant
  • Accounting / Audit qualification such as ACA, CIMA, CIA or equivelant
