Key Accountabilities
Support the audit team in scoping the audit where necessary.
Working in collaboration with the audit team, contribute to identify, assess & document risks and controls.
Complete controls testing which involves evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of controls & document this understanding in the audit toolkit.
Update the audit team with progress and observations. Support the audit team in writing audit observations.
Suggest practical ways of improving the work they do and apply where appropriate.

Discuss and agree the factual accuracy of audit observations with stakeholders with the support of the audit team as appropriate.

  • Internal Auditor
    £45000 - £65000 per annum

    They are looking for an Auditor to join their team as, at present, it is outsourced to the Big 4. This is a stand alone role, which has excellent progression and exposure to senior stakeholders in the UK and China as well as exposure to different areas of the business.     Responsibility

    • Audit various business areas of the bank in line with strategic instructions;

    • Ensure our internal audit process and reports are aligned with local regulations and Head Office’s requirements;
    • Other Ad hoc duties as required


    Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher;
    • Minimum 2 years internal audit / internal audit experience gained within banking environment, ideally within international branch;
    • Exposure to wholesale and corporate banking activities;
    • Good report writing and communication skills;
    • Demonstrable good understand of audit and up-to-date technical knowledge;


    The Successful Applicant
    The successful candidate for this role will have the following exposure:

    • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA qualified preferred, or working towards these qualifications;
    • Working experience in top auditing firm viewed favourably but not essential;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to analyse and solve problems.
    • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
    • Results and detail focussed.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Willing to do international travel to our other offices when required, though not frequent

    This person will:

    • Act as a centre of excellence on reward and benefits approaches
    • Carry out total compensation and benefits benchmarking, drawing out key comparisons and market data that is then fed back to the wider HR team
    • Manage all benefits programmes (Pension, Healthcare, Life Assurance etc) whilst ensuring these are maintained and continually improved upon

    Candidates must have:
