My client is a global financial services organisation seeking an HR MI Analyst on a permanent basis. The Group Head Office (GHO) HR team is made up of generalist consultants that partner with the GHO functions, and specialist areas that deliver key HR projects and initiatives. This role provides an exciting mix of opportunities to get involved in new and existing HR initiatives across the HR function as well as day to day ownership of and responsibility for HR data and analytics (e.g. MI dashboards, HR and Talent analytics).

This is not just a data role and you will be helping to put together business cases for certain projects and if accepted, helping implement them, creating presentations and working with stakeholders to make things happen. Must have advance Excel skills and enjoy working with Excel in a consultancy background.

Duties include:

  • Design and regularly deliver MI and reporting dashboards, providing insights based on analytics including headcount, talent, diversity, performance, resourcing and attrition for various audiences including the HR Director, GHO and Group Executive Committee members
  • Support for the Group Head Office People Review and for the Group Talent Review processes, including project management, data collection and analytics, writing and updating reports and packs and contributing to report design
  • Support for key HR projects, including putting together proposals, project plans, monitoring and tracking progress updates and communications and finally implementing initiatives, working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support on high profile HR events such as launches, talent programmes, engagement and wellbeing events, including responsibility for logistics and vendor management
  • Prepare proposal documents for discussion with the HR Director, GHO, and other members of the GHO team to progress into presentations and implementation plans
  • Reporting for online learning management system, as well as working with key stakeholders to manage mandatory training implementation
  • Provide cover for other team members as appropriate

Core Competencies Required:

  • Consultancy background / skill set desirable
  • Comfortable with and excited to work with data (manual data gathering and entry and advanced Excel) including demonstrable experience in designing reports, managing complex data, getting the most out of all kinds of systems and presenting information in a meaningful and insightful way
  • Flair for visual design and presentation, particularly of data but not limited to and being able to put that into PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to use initiative, manage own time well, work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks and stakeholders - project management experience desirable
  • Enthusiasm to work in a busy, motivated team, flexibility and willingness to get involved, take on opportunities and to contribute ideas and views
  • Has effective professional relationships, able to deal with suppliers and internal customers
  • Willingness to learn new skills and add more to their plate (including thought, ideas, content and design for a variety of projects)
  • Comfortable that the role is a mix of data, administration and ad hoc requests / projects

    • Advanced SQL scripting and analytics, highly desirable RDBMS BI Skills in Oracle or SQL Server, inclusive of their BI Stack tools, such as Oracle ODI, OBIEE, PLSQL, SQL SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, TSQL.
