IT Project Methodology Trainer

450 per day - 500 per day

My Client is a leader in global banking and financial services and is seeking an IT Project Methodology Trainer from an IT development background. With In depth knowledge of Instructional Design - development learning workshops/training course with additional learning supports. Proven experience of writing and delivering corporate communications globally. A good understanding of Agile and/or PMP Project Management principles. Experience in training delivery/facilitation. Experience as an IT Project Manager within a structured project environment. Strong IT background A strong track record of delivery within a structured project environment. Working knowledge of the full-life cycle project management delivery. Experience of using SharePoint 2013.

Role

The IT Project Methodology trainer will be a member of the Quality, Learning and Coaching team, responsible for delivering key Quality, Learning and Coaching related projects and initiatives in line with Business Needs, Global Markets IT Compliance Objectives, and IT delivery priorities. It is anticipated that the role will be a mixture of Learning artefact development (30%), Learning delivery (50%) and analysis of the current and future personnel who need to attend learning (20%).

Background

This is a learning role but the person needs to have come from an IT Dev background. The reason being this role requires the person to facilitate learning workshops (round tables) with project managers and teach them the specific IT Project life cycle. The person in the role needs to understand IT development project life cycles to be able to teach with integrity how the life cycle with this flows, policies, templates etc fit into as typical IT Development project. Therefore, the person needs to understand IT development to be able to do this.

    The Head of Change Delivery is responsible for delivering business-wide transformation within their assigned area. The role will have ultimate accountability for management, planning and governance of change initiatives, ensuring they are aligned to the strategy and deliver value to our members and students. This will require close collaboration with other Heads of Change Delivery and stakeholders to co-ordinate change.

    On a day to day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

    • Define the programme governance and structure to ensure deliverables are achieved within budget, responding and taking corrective measures as required
    • Identify critical business processes and drive change through Six Sigma methodology to achieve efficiencies, cost reductions and improved customer experience – taking into account mitigation of risk
    • Build strong relationships at Leadership level and across other stakeholder groups to ensure ongoing support for change programme

    Ideally, we’re looking for someone with the following:

    • Highly skilled and experienced in change delivery to command respect and influence peer group and wider area
    • Experience of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
    • Experience of lean sigma process improvement tools and techniques
    • A solid understanding and experience of change management in practice, along with supporting principles, methodologies and tools
