Python Front-Office Quant Developer - Derivatives Trading - Tier 1 Investment Bank - £125k

Our client is a world-renowned Tier 1 investment bank in London, in search of experienced Python quant developers to join their expanding front-office derivatives trading team.

The successful candidate will be highly skilled in Python development, with experience working close to traders in front-office environments. You will gain exposure to the full product life cycle and also have opportunities to work on greenfield projects.

This is a senior level position; therefore, the Python developer will need to display experience working both individually and within a team. You will be responsible for the delivery of large projects and have responsibility for senior stakeholders from trading, sales and quant team.

The successful Python Developer can look to receive a salary between £90-125k base, plus a healthy bonus package.

Skills Required

  • Highly skilled Python developer
  • Knowledge of SQL database
  • Strong mathematical/problem solving abilities is highly desirable
  • Derivative product knowledge, equities preferred
  • Excel VBA knowledge desirable
  • Strong academic background

    • Proven experience of developing and building strong relationships with key stakeholders; engaging effectively at all levels
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience in marketing/event management would be highly beneficial
    • Modern and innovative approach to attraction campaigns
    • Access to talent pools and awareness of talent networks and sites
    • Considerable experience as an attraction expert
    • Considerable experience in reward

  • BA-CVA&FVA- Derivatives Risk-Credit Risk- PERM

    Location: City of London

    • Experience of working on a system that delivers derivative risk and PnL to trading desks
    • Strong knowledge of at least one class of OTC derivatives (Interest Rates, Equities, Credit, FX)
    • The technical skills and attention to detail required to understand the organisation's data and to explain how IT solutions and processes will look to the end user.
    • Knowledge of SQL and experience analyzing data.
    • An understanding of SDLC, preferably using an agile delivery model
    • understanding of xVA measures, how they are used, how they are calculated and what they are sensitive to.
    • Ideally a working knowledge of credit risk methodology and Basel3 regulations
