Equity Derivatives Legal Counsel

New job opportunity with a highly established Tier 1 bank based in London as Legal Counsel within their Equity Derivatives team, based in London. This is a 7-month contract and they are able to pay from £600-£750 a day.

Our client are looking to fill a mid-level role in the Equity Derivatives Legal Team in London, reporting to the head of the team. The role will be primarily responsible for providing legal support both the Paris and London based Quantitative Investment Solutions team, focusing on index structuring, production and review of index documentation, event and incident management and governance support and

You will also be responsible for work with the structured securities team, supporting the Global Markets Structuring team on securitised derivatives, securities regulations and fund distribution matters.

Minimum Experience and Knowledge

  • A minimum of 3+ years of post-qualified experience, within a private practice and in house
  • English qualified lawyer with strong experience in the Derivatives and Structures Products area
  • Experience and working knowledge in structures complex transactions is ideal
  • Technical knowledge of ISAN documentation and standard OTC documentation and familiarity with securities issuance programmes and structured product platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal with demanding client base and various jurisdictions within the bank.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills for meeting tight deadlines and assimilating complex legal and regulatory material with limited admin support.

  • Regulatory Compliance Officer

    Monitoring

    • Provide assistance in developing and implementing a risk-based compliance monitoring programme, identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting all material compliance risks.

    Risk Assessment

    • Drive the compliance risk assessment process ensuring that the compliance risks are appropriately identified and assessed.

    AML

    • Assist the Compliance Department and Front Line to ensure that appropriate AML due diligence checks are carried out.
    • Assist the Compliance Department in keeping internal processes and procedures up to date as required due to regulatory changes.

    Reporting

    • Prepare standard and ad-hoc information and data reports for internal and external reports as required.
    • Prepare and manage appropriate timely management information on compliance and regulatory issues including suggested mitigating actions.
    • Provide input into the Annual Compliance Plan
    • Assist with preparing and coordinating ad-hoc reports on compliance developments as required.

    My leading global investment bank are looking to bring on a Portfolio PMO Analyst to join their International Change PMO.

    Candidates should have:

    • Extensive investment banking experience.
    • Strong PMO skills and working in global PMO functions.
    • Exposure to regulatory change initiatives.
    • Must have worked in a global PMO role
    • Portfolio level experience on financial management, scope control & RAID metrics.
    • Ability to manage and coordinate activities and resources in a project life cycle.
    • Excellent financial analysis & tracking skills. (includes variance analysis, forecast vs actuals).
    • Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret and synthesize complex business and technical environments to scope and control project work which aggregates at portfolio level
    • Ability to identify and correlate dependencies between projects and plans
    • Excellent senior stakeholder engagement skills (will be regularly consulting with delivery partners and stakeholders on performance and strategy).
