Your Responsibilities:

  • To work with relevant internal and external advisors and experts to support new corporate and European entities in ensuring that all governance and other statutory requirements are complied with.
  • Coordination and first point of contact for administrators.
  • Planning and organisation of board meetings, including agendas and review of corporate documents to opine on transactions that require board consent for each entity, board meeting frequency and delegation of authority process.
  • KPI reporting on Corporate Administration service providers.
  • Support Legal and Tax departments with transactions from a corporate administration perspective (acquisitions, financings, restructuring).
  • Participate in meetings and discussions as required to advise on legal and corporate governance requirements.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action to implement changes as required to maintain compliance.

  • Provides support to the “KYC” (know your customer) due diligence process on transaction partners and other 3rd parties (developers/contractors/etc.) and presents summarised findings as required.
  • Reviews and resolves or escalates alerts from the World Check exception reporting system;
  • Facilitates international vendor due diligence to mitigate risks such as violations of laws, rules, or regulations and approves if acceptable or escalates concerns.
  • Provides general support to the European Compliance team, including the drafting of compliance policies and procedures, preparation of training material, organise and prepare agendas and taking minutes of board or risk management committee meetings.
  • Assists the Compliance team with Money Laundering Prevention policies and queries, including MLR2017, 4th EU Directive, Know Your Customer regulations, Sanction List regulations and other Anti-Money Laundering statutes.
  • Good law degree or qualified by experienceLPC qualified

Your Profile:

  • Relevant experience gained in private equity / real estate.
  • Have a methodical approach, with good attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload and show good judgement under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of AML and corporate governance requirements. Familiarity with GDPR is a preference.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs in order to complete required reports.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a paralegal or compliance role with a good understanding of commercial processes, procedures and operational drivers.
  • Legal degree is strongly preferred for this position.
  • Excellent English communication skills, strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and able to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Excellent time management skills able to work on several tasks at any given time.
  • Confidence dealing with external advisors.

    A successful and expanding multi-national fintech require a strong Java engineer to help build out their low latency FX Algo Trading application suite. The team focus on providing the platform for their ever-growing London client base, which spans from small funds through to tier one Investment Banks, meaning that this role brings exposure to a wide range of sectors, with which brings a diverse range of challenges.
