Our client is a global banking organisation who are looking for a talented Senior Employee Communications Manager to join the team.

You will have the opportunity to use your communications skills within a complex business, partnering with key stakeholders, providing advice and counsel around engagement strategies and have ownership of campaigns. You will build strong relationships with various teams across the business and ensure high engagement standards are being maintained. Working within a global business will be essential and exposure across different sectors to bring new ideas to the business beneficial.

  • Java Engineer- Contract- Inside IR35- Edin/Glasgow

    Looking for experienced Java Engineers on a contract basis for a project working on various Financial applications.

    You will be a part of large Agile Development teams providing greenfield or brownfield projects. You will be exposed to a variety of technical tools such as Linux/Unix, Scala, Perl, Bash, AWS and sometimes Front End tools like Angular or ReactJS.

    These are contract positions that will be inside IR35 from April 2020 offering a daily rate of up to £375.

    To qualify for these roles, you will have to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

    Senior Opensource Database Engineer

    My client, a large IT focused Financial Services company in London, are looking for a Senior Opensource Database Engineer to take ownership of their tech stack. They require someone with a solid database/datawarehousing background who is able to transform a legacy tech stack into a more emerging opensource technology offering. They key technologies used initially would be Python and DBA type tech e.g. Postgres., with a view to implement additional opensource tech going forward.

    Key skills/experience required:

    • Significant engineering experience working with open source database, solving challenging business problems with cutting edge technology.
    • Significant python coding experience
    • Proficiency with SQL
    • Experience working on petabyte scale data warehouses and distributed database systems
    • DBA level admin skills with postgres and other systems
    • Big data experience including Spark and Kafka would be beneficial
    • ETL pipeline experience would be beneficial
    • An all rounder with database, infrastructure, programming and applications experience
    • Someone who has worked in a start up type environment could be a great fit as this area of the organisation has a tech startup feel to it
    • Good educational background in a data focused subject would be beneficial

  • Internal Audit Manager
    £60000 - £75000 per annum

    Responsibility

    • Carry out risk based audits across the business and other projects as assigned by senior management, to provide assurance that material risks faced by the bank are being adequately managed;
    • Execute and help to develop the London branch Internal audit plan;
    • Support the continual development of the internal audit methodology;
    • Audit various business areas of the bank in in line with strategic instructions;
    • Assess, identify and report any issues of weakness within control and devise remediating solutions for any issues found;
    • Work alongside internal departments to analyse issues and formulate resolutions
    • Ensure our internal audit process and reports are aligned with local regulations and Head Office’s requirements;
    • Other Ad hoc duties as required


    Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher;
    • Minimum 2 years internal audit / internal audit experience gained within banking environment, ideally within international branch;
    • Exposure to wholesale and corporate banking activities;
    • Good report writing and communication skills;
    • Demonstrable good understand of audit and up-to-date technical knowledge;

    The successful candidate for this role will have the following exposure:

    • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA qualified preferred, or working towards these qualifications;
    • Experience within a Wholesale or Corporate Banking function
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to analyse and solve problems.
    • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
    • Results and detail oriented.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Willing to do international travel to other offices when required, though not frequent.
