BASED LONDON

c£55,000- £58,000 bonus & benefits

Our client a leading financial services business operating in the pensions space is looking for an experienced media relations professional, with experience, preferably current or recent in the UK pensions industry.

This is a key role within the communications function, where you will be responsible for designing and delivering the stakeholder and media relations strategy for the business

  • Designing and delivering media relations and campaign activity including generation content
  • Oversee co-ordinate external media and stakeholder messages to ensure they join up with wider communications strategies
  • Develop engagement strategies for key external stakeholders that support short and medium-term business objectives
  • Create co-ordinated external media communications plan
  • Take the lead on industry awards, articles and content for different channels

Experience required

  • Strong experience in media relations / PR gained in the UK financial services sector
  • Experience in the UK pensions market is essential
  • Experience of working with stakeholders including pensions industry, consumer groups and trade bodies
  • Strong communication skills including written and presentation skills

    • Experienced developers with previous experience in the end-to-end design, development and support of risk management systems

    • Ability to work and liaise directly with the Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control and various risk functions

    Qualification & Skills

    Technical skills:

    • 8 years hands on development with investment banking IT experience
    • Java (essential), SCALA/Haskell is an advantage
    • Oracle development background, RAC is a plus.
    • Development experience on functional language, such as Haskell, is a strong plus.
    • SCRUM and Agile.


    General:

    • Strong architectural and engineering background with experience of delivery.
    • Strong Java and Oracle skills.
    • Strong knowledge and previous experience in end-to-end design, development and subsequent support of large scale data processing systems built on Oracle.
    • Familiarity and confidence working in an “agile” development environment.
    • Who can drive / facilitate the requirements and development effort with the business.

  • Information Security Manager - Dorset
    £60000 - £70000 per annum

    Information Security Officer required to provide security expertise and guidance to key Security Programme which includes a number of projects as part of the organisations cyber strategy.

    The role will include input into the requirements and designs working with internal security teams and external parties to put in place agreed solutions to meet the aims of the programme. This is a dynamic role combining security solution design, implementation, assurance and review activities with standards, policy and procedure development.

    The Information Security Officer will come with strong analytical, information security and application security skills ,along with a technical understanding of the practical application of information security controls within financial services firms. The Information Security Officer is vital to ensuring that appropriate security controls and best practice are applied to emerging services within the organisation

    As a strategic role, it will require strong business acumen and detailed knowledge of information security & cyber security policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be someone who has a finely tuned understanding of the challenges of policy implementation and can respond in an agile and collaborative manner to ongoing business and regulatory requirements.

    The Information Security Officer will have previous experience of implementing; Privileged Access Management, End Point Security, Identity & Access Management, Supplier Security Assurance, Cloud Based security offerings and Security policies/procedures/standards

    This role faces off to the business and the successful candidate will be a first class communicator with strong C-level stakeholder management skills. They will play the lead role in driving key policy projects and programmes, the creation of a strategy for developing Policy outreach and awareness and contribute to the strategic plans for the policy and awareness teams.

  • Python Software Engineer, VP - Greenfield Risk Engine - £130k
    £90000 - £130000 per annum bonus

    Python Software Engineer, VP (Cross Training Considered) - Greenfield Risk Engine - Tier 1 Investment Bank - up to £130k plus bonus

    An experienced Python software engineer, VP, is required to join a market leading tier one investment bank in London. The particular platform deals with risk calculations for Traders, Quants and Sales teams across the bank and is undegoing a huge re-generation project, which will involve a lot of greenfield work.

    Given the experience level required for the role, the succesful Python software engineer will be expected to actively engage in decisions around; design, architecture and the future direction of the Risk Engine and the team supporting it. The role will involve both BAU and the ability to innovatively work on the development of Greenfield ideas and solutions.

    If succesful the VP Python Software Engineer can expect to recieve £90k - £130k base plus package and healthy bonus

    Requirements:

    • Ideally experience with OO Python (may also consider strong C ,Java, C# willing to cross-train)
    • Experience dealing with a variety of business users/stakeholders
    • Experience handling full software development lifecycle
    • Provide examples of innovative technological thinking
    • Previous examples of input into design/architecture
