Test Lead (QTP/ Settlements) - Bank - London - Contract

I am currently on the lookout for a Test Lead (QTP/ Settlements) to join a top bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Key Responsibilities

    • Acting as the single point of contact for a team of Test Engineers.
    • Defining and managing test plans.
    • Defining and creating key deliverables.
    • Ensuring conformance to test standards and governance across a project or work stream.
    • Supporting test environment and test data engineers where needed.
    • Supporting the Programme Test Manager in managing the testing capability across multiple work streams.
    • Supporting the Programme Test Manager in balancing resource allocation against project / work stream status.
    • Adopting a pragmatic approach in regards to delivery, being prepared to devise alternative solutions where effort and deadlines are in conflict.
    • Adopting a pragmatic approach in regards to demand management, negotiating and devising.

Key Skills/ Experience

    • Experienced Test Lead
    • ISTQB / ISQI / ISEB Foundation level qualification.
    • Certification in or extensive experience of agile methodologies.
    • Experience of automated software testing tools such as QTP, Rational Functional Tester, Selenium, Silk Test or Microsoft tools.
    • Extensive experience of software testing covering the complete project life-cycle, in a structured environment (both iterative/agile and waterfall).
    • Extensive experience of a range of software testing types including functional, non-functional, regression, integration, UAT and OAT.
    • Experience of leading software testing, including where both internal and 3rd parties are involved.
    • Experience of software testing complex user interfaces and GUI applications.
    • Experience of risk analysis and Risk Based software testing.
    • Experience of exploratory software testing and techniques.

Contract

Location- London

Salary - £625 - £725 p/d (inside of IR35)

    £80000 - £140000 per annum + bonus

    Java Low Latency Trading Engineer – Buy Side – up to £140k + bonus

    A leading and expanding London based buy side trading organisation are looking to add a strong Java Low Latency engineer to their industry leading workforce. Working directly for the desk you will be responsible for both the development of greenfield components and enhancement of existing multi-threaded low latency trading applications.

    You will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of products, across multiple asset classes in partnership with industry leading Traders and Quants. They have a diverse range of talent within the team, coming from buy side, sell side and non-financial services!

  • Linux Engineer

    Linux admin/developer required for an initial 6 month contract with a global financial services clients Glasgow based offices. To be successful in this role you will have most or all of the below:

    • Linux experience in an enterprise level environment – including UNIX system calls and low level O/S and network protocols.
    • Scripting experience in either Perl and/or Python
    • Configuration management experience in Puppet, Chef or Salt Stack to automate the management of a large scale Linux deployment.
    • Excellent trouble shooting skills – Hardware, Network and storage
