I am currently looking for a Murex Application Support Analyst to join a top bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a member of the support team you will be responsible for monitoring the incoming requests and issues and driving them forward to resolution. In event of major outages all members will be working together to resolve and be reasonable for keeping the business and IT management apprised of the situation. You will be expected to on a regular basis assist with weekend releases. This role is a hands-on role Located on the trading floor that will require someone that enjoys the challenges and rewards of working in a dynamic support team with a constantly changing task list.

Experience Required

Experience supporting complex position keeping and risk management system like Murex, Summit in a Front Office environment.

Proficiency with Interest Rates and FX Derivatives products

Proficiency with PnL and Risk Management concepts

Support of systems running on Windows Server environment (Windows services; IIS; Scheduled Tasks)

Support of systems running on a UNIX environment; general UNIX navigation; ability to read and understand UNIX shell / Perl scripts.

Support of SQL database based systems. Good SQL query skills; ability to read Stored Procured; understanding of basic Query Optimisation.

Experience supporting large batch systems (typically Control M or Autosys)
