Technical Support Engineer (Shift- Work)- Trading Systems- PermSupport
I am currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer (Shift- Work) to join a top financial organisation based in London. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.
Working as part of a team to 'follow the sun' providing 24x5 coverage;
Shift times are 06:30-15:30, 14:30-23:30, 22:30-07:30. Current priority is to cover the 14:30-23:30 shift only.
Monitoring and supporting international automated trading systems and being the first point of call for all issues;
Working with development teams to investigate and resolve software issues on trading systems;
Software deployments and the supporting process to ensure updates are installed with the minimum of business impact;
Maintain appropriate levels of technical and procedural documentation;
Maintain IT Infrastructure including Desktops and Servers on Windows and Linux platforms;
Backup & monitoring setup/management.
Understanding of trading applications at a technical level (process, configuration, connectivity);
Previous experience providing support and operational knowledge for trading; environments including automated systems;
Windows/Linux Platform Support/Administration;
Knowledge of software deployments and the supporting processes;
Good knowledge of monitoring and reporting systems.
Experience working with development teams;
Knowledge of system scripting using languages such as Python;
Familiarity with database management systems;
Good knowledge of financial markets;
Experience liaising with exchanges, clearers, ISV's.
