Development Manager / Technical lead – Asset Management – City based

My client is a leading asset manager based in the heart of the City. They are looking for a development manager / technical lead to come onboard to work in one of the applications team responsible for developing and maintaining all production business applications.

You will be required to lead the development capabilities for the team. The role will require you to have an understanding of the asset management business and data requirements needed.

This lead role is to provide the following guidance:

  • Specific specialist knowledge across either RLAM Microsoft Technology stack; covering .NET and MS SQL technologies.
  • Maintenance and management of development road maps and backlog for key business applications and integration components.
  • Build relationships with key users to prioritise workloads and road maps.
  • Delegation of work packages to team members.
  • Implement and impose best practice to improve quality and consistency.
  • Define best technology design and approach
  • Implement quality assurance measures to improve code quality and route to production.

Technical knowledge / Skills required:

  • Background in Software development and development lifecycles
  • SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
  • .NET framework for developing desktop and web-based applications; web services and interfaces.
  • HTML, Angular and UI design
  • Data warehousing
  • Powershell
  • MQ
  • XML
  • Agile and DevOps techniques
  • Good communicator with the ability to work directly with key IT teams, project teams, users and stakeholders
  • Experience dealing with users and/or vendors from both a business and technical perspective
  • Experience working in an Asset Management type environment and able to pragmatically tailor solutions to business needs and risks.
