My client is a global investment bank based in London. They are seeking a Java developer with good Angular JS and React knowledge to join them in a build-out of a brand new internal application. The application is used by 60-70% of traders at the bank. The database is extremely complicated with a huge amount of data sets, it is a very technically exciting position.

  • Charles River Application Support Analyst- Permanent- London
    £60000 - £80000 per annum

    I am currently looking for a Charles River Application Support Analyst to join a top financial organisation based in London. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.

    Responsibilities

    Front Office application support for tier 1 business critical systems with escalation to software development, technology teams, end users or third parties as appropriate.

    Setup and training users on use of Front Office systems.

    Record and take ownership of issues using internal Jira system and following through to successful resolution.

    Monitor trades and booking issues – advise traders and desk assistants.

    FIX troubleshooting.

    Key Requirements

    Experienced Application Support Analyst

    Knowledge of the Charles River IMS system

    Experience supporting other Order Management (OMS) and Execution Management (EMS) systems (such as Thinkfolio, Portware, Fidessa, Trading Screen, etc) is also desirable

    Some basic knowledge of FIX protocols is essential

    Experience working with the Front Office – i.e. Traders and Portfolio managers – and understanding the urgency in resolving issues

    Understanding of Windows Operating Systems and Databases – Oracle & SQL Server

    Experience writing SQL queries for Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.

    I am currently looking for an experienced Production Support Lead (FIX/ UNIX) to join a top financial organisation based in London. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.

    The responsibilities of the role include:

    Provide 2nd line support services for client services and account management teams

    Support external users of the API (XML/FIX/SOAP) interfaces

    Provide networking and connectivity support

    Monitoring system servers and ensuring appropriate monitoring is in place

    Raise and track issues through the use of the helpdesk ticketing mechanism

    Answer hotline calls in a professional manner

    Participate in global support meetings as requested

    Candidates must have:

    Experienced Application Support Lead (hands on)

    Demonstrable experience in a combined managerial and technical capacity

    UNIX, SQL, XML, FIX and Scripting Language a must

    Strong knowledge around asset classes- Fixed Income/ FX/ Equities

    Managing staff (required), either in a direct or matrix management environment

    Proven thought leadership in process automation with demonstrable implementation skills

    ITIL knowledge desirable

    Overview of Role

    We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Technical SME team, specifically focussing on Infrastructure and to help strengthen our recruitment capability within Financial Services.

    The Technical SME team has a well established presence in the London Financial Services recruitment market therefore providing an existing client base to actively recruit for and to develop business with. When i say this is a Warm Desk I mean that we recieve a high volume of roles through from clients that we actively place with on a regular basis.

    As a Senior Recruitment Consultant you will take responsibility for delivery in to our existing accounts, managing the full recruitment life-cycle process and account management/development.

    Key Responsibilities

    To develop and build a dual (contract and perm) recruitment desk within Infrastructure

    • Managing and delivering full life cycle recruitment across your own roles
    • Focus on active account management across our Financial Services clients, ensuring we identify and meet with existing and new Hiring Managers and get heads up on roles being released
    • Assisting with the client management and candidate delivery on existing accounts
    • Other business development activities to include, generating and following up on leads, developing sponsors/coaches within accounts
    • Growing and establishing a candidate database
    • Delivering to set financial and performance targets

    Key experience/skills

    Previous experience of working in a 360 degree IT recruitment role

    • A background/knowledge of Financial Services is desirable
    • Excellent client and candidate management skills, along with the ability to build strong relationships
