Global Tier 1 Investment Bank seeks experienced Java Developer to join the firms E-Trading Global Markets Division. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest and background in the E-Trading business. Possess proven multithreading development skills utilising the latest Java technology. The team are set up to work in a strats model and primarily trade Fixed Income and Rates products.

This is a very exciting opportunity to be a key part of this growing front office strats team working on a combination of greenfield and existing platforms being developed concurrently.

Day to day you will be building an electronic offering and working closely with the stakeholders and the trading business. You will be developing high performance E-Trading components with trader automation as a core concept and will be working with a wider development team to ensure solutions are cross-product and help consolidate existing functionality.

This team are using a modern tech stack of Java11+ and moving onto an AWS architecture. Flexible/home working available.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Expert level Java and Multi-threading knowledge and experience.
  • Low latency systems experience a benefit
  • Expertise in IRS/Rates pricing, analytics, yield curves.
  • Strong experience in Fixed Income Trading systems.
  • Exposure working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Object oriented design and development, design patterns.
  • Credit business experience, comfortable with key business concepts.
  • Some exposure to risk management would be a bonus
  • Flexible/home working available.

    • Sound Talent Management experience
    • CIPD membership or equivalent qualification
    • Demonstrable commercial and pragmatic approach to human capital solutions
