The aim of this hire is to build industry leading platforms to change how the buy side executes the market. This will entail building a system that can manage orders, execute trades across the full array of equities products and automate the trading lifecycle.

Skills and experience required:

As a successful developer you will have:

  • Strong development skills with WPF

    What you'll be doing

    • Track the company's financial status and performance, provide financial reports and interpret financial information to leadership team while recommending further courses of action.
    • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making

Technical Lead (Java/ Python/ REACT)- Banking- Permanent

I am currently looking for an experienced Technical Lead (Java/ Python/ REACT) join a top hedge fund based in London. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.


Responsibilities involved:

Act as Technical Lead of a new ‘pod’ that is to be created to deliver a front to back technical platform that rationalises the firm’s underlying datasets to produce various derived data for the investor relations team as well as the board of partners and other internal business groups.

The target application stack is to be java-based running off Docker containers on top of a Kubernetes cluster. React UIs will be leveraged to provide front ends to be distributed across the firm. Future mobile app development and external website development is likely once the project has delivered internally.

As technical lead of the pod- collaborate with other technical leads running their own pods and report to the Head of Engineering.

Experience required:

Good programming skills in Java, Python & REACT

Good knowledge of SQL and NOSQL databases as well as applications derived from both lambda and kappa architectures.

Some understanding of Finance, ideally in the Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX and Equity areas.
