An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital Support Engineer to join a prestigious financial services organisation in the City. The Digital Operations team provide full lifecycle support for the Online and Mobile Banking Platform.

Responsiblities include:

  • Day to day support of the platform to help diagnose and fix production issues - provide incremental improvements
  • Problem resolution and prevention of recurrence through post-incident wash-ups & service improvement plans
  • Be a central point of expertise and consultation on technical aspects of the Online & Mobile platform
    • Ensuring development aligns to agreed standards and is high quality
    • Evaluating and adopting new techniques to advance the platform
    • Working with product and operations teams to streamline processes
  • Maintaining detailed documentation (Design/Usage/Problem Records)
  • You'll be required to provide on-call cover on a rota basis

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience managing Linux and Windows Operating Systems in a virtualised environment
  • Vendor liaison and 3rd party organisation across geographically distributed teams
  • Experience operating in a structured service management setup (Incident, Problem, Change Management and Service Requests)
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts for service delivery
  • Experience working in Financial Services/Regulated environments
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex environments through the varying stages of project lifecycles
  • Experience working with the following products/technologies:
    • Linux/Windows Management
    • Application/Platform Monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace/New Relic)
    • Analytical Tools (such as Google Analytics/PowerBI)
    • Backbase CXP Manager
    • Mule
    • Java
    • SQL/SSIS
    • Security Update Lifecycles/Patch Management
    • Backup Management
    • IOS/Android
  • Ability and desire to learn new systems and new technologies
  • Ability to review quality by carrying out post implementation checks
  • Actively shares knowledge and updates with team

  • Java/Scala Developer - Credit Risk - Global Investment Bank
    £650 - £750 per day

    Global US Investment bank have an excellent opportunity for a Senior contract Java/Scala developer. You will be working in the front office Credit Risk Development team to deliver the best solutions as part of the global credit business. The platform provides credit risk calculation services to the firm so a background of working on Credit Risk or Credit products is highly desirable.

    Essential Skills required:

    • Extensive experience using both Java and Scala.
    • Previous experience working in Risk.
    • The ability to support and enhance existing infrastructure and applications across a variety of technologies (Java, Scala, Clojure, RBDMS, NoSQL).
    • Apache Kafka, Apache Spark and Unix.
    • In depth understanding of credit IT applications and flow.

    Keys responsibilities:

    • Keeping track of projects and tasks assigned to the team.
    • Manage and own problem reporting & resolution of Risk platform.
    • Activate involvement in Analysis and development of components/flows for Credit Risk per evolving business requirements.
    • Develop a common Risk infrastructure across various businesses.
