QA tester
An international Bank based in London are looking for a QA tester to join the eFX IT team responsible for looking after the electronic trading for foreign exchange. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual testing.
The role is offered on a contract basis inside ir35.
Responsibilities of the role
- Perform manual functional and regression testing
- Create test plans and amend test cases
- Ability to deal with troubleshooting of issues and communicate with third party software vendors
- Forecasting and Planning
- Liaising with Business Users on test cases
- Maintain regression pack
- Operate daily environment health checks

Senior Platform Services Analyst – London – Hybrid
A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
- Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
- Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
- Daily interaction with all internal stakeholders with regards to support issues
- Efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system to help identify trends and patterns
- Create and monitor internal reports and usage queries
- Assist with product testing and project work
Skills:
- At least 3 years hands-on support experience within a financial institution (buy-side, sell-side, venue/platform provider)
- Proven experience of MSSQL, Oracle and Sybase database environments, including complex query-writing
- Solid application support experience within a Unix / Linux environment
- Good working knowledge of the FIX protocol
- Proven experience of supporting Windows Server environments
- Experience in troubleshooting network problems: i.e. firewall and routing problems
- Good understanding of international Equity market mechanics and flows
Desirable:
- Exposure to supporting message-based architecture
