I am currently looking for an experienced Automation Test Analyst (JAVA) to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

The role is an urgent requirement and the candidate will need to be available within 0-2 weeks.

Key responsibilities:

Participate in the banks MIFID2 programme of work as the overall QA Test Analyst, primarly focused on the JAVA Automated test framework development work

Assist in the manging the Co-ordination of test runs against test plans and validate that testing within the SIT phase allows the UAT environment to be ready for use, and provide additional test management assistance in the UAT phases

Assist in the setting up and then managing of the banks dedicate End-to-end testing estate, to support SIT / UAT testing for the MIFID2 Programme of work

Assist in the execution of the Java framework to support testing execution activities.

Experience required:

Automation Test Analyst

Extensive experience of JAVA development and building out of Automated Testing Tools (Selenium, Java, Jbehave, Gerkin, BDD)

Experience around actually preparing test cases, generation of test reports (daily / weekly) showing test coverage, progress and defects. Willing to actually execute and support testing work, as well as managing initiatives

An Understanding of Investment Banking and financial products - Fixed Income, Equities and OTC Derivatives, and related supporting data, market and reference. Comfortable with complex financial test data reconciliation challenges. Experience in requirements around MIFID2 would be beneficial

Contract

£450-550 per day

    Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher;
    • Minimum 2 years internal audit / internal audit experience gained within banking environment, ideally within international branch;
    • Exposure to wholesale and corporate banking activities;
    • Good report writing and communication skills;
    • Demonstrable good understand of audit and up-to-date technical knowledge;


    The Successful Applicant
    The successful candidate for this role will have the following exposure:

    • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA qualified preferred, or working towards these qualifications;
    • Working experience in top auditing firm viewed favourably but not essential;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to analyse and solve problems.
    • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
    • Results and detail focussed.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Willing to do international travel to our other offices when required, though not frequent

    This person will:
