MIFiD Test Analyst (Security/Repo/Automation) - Bank -Contract




I am currently on the lookout for a MIFiD Test Analyst (Security/ Repo/ Automation) to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building out and maintenance of standardised test plan
  • Execution testing, defect tracking, reporting and prioritisation within a sprint-based delivery lifecycle
  • Utilisation of various toolsets to construct, execute, control and report on full test lifecycle
  • Build out of automated testing to allow for scheduled, repeatable testing, introducing test harness/stubs into the testing lifecycle

Key skills/ experience

  • Experienced Test Analyst (MIFiD)
  • Experience working on regulatory related programs/projects (i.e. EMIR reporting, MiFID II)
  • eCommerce trading experience & understanding of this environment is essential.
  • Strong practical knowledge of testing tools within the marketplace
  • Strong product knowledge around Repo and SBL (desirable)
  • Experience using Apex and Pirum (desirable)


Location- London

Day Rate - £450 - £650 p/d

    A successful and expanding multi-national fintech require a strong Java engineer to help build out their low latency FX Algo Trading application suite. The team focus on providing the platform for their ever-growing London client base, which spans from small funds through to tier one Investment Banks, meaning that this role brings exposure to a wide range of sectors, with which brings a diverse range of challenges.

    The Java Developer will be expected to take ownership of the full software development lifecycle of the FX Algo Trading product, applying a creative mindset in the process and driving to use cutting edge technology and ideas.

    The successful Java Developer can receive between £70k and £140k base salary, plus a healthy benefits package.

    Java Low Latency Trading Engineer – Buy Side – up to £140k + bonus

    A leading and expanding London based buy side trading organisation are looking to add a strong Java Low Latency engineer to their industry leading workforce. Working directly for the desk you will be responsible for both the development of greenfield components and enhancement of existing multi-threaded low latency trading applications.

    You will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of products, across multiple asset classes in partnership with industry leading Traders and Quants. They have a diverse range of talent within the team, coming from buy side, sell side and non-financial services!

  • Functional Analyst - Interim 10 months - London/Home
    Up to £400 per day + PAYE

    Functional Analyst in Change.

    Project Brief:

    The role will be assigned to change initiatives dependent on current demand and priorities at the time.

    Initiatives will include the on-boarding of new business wins, the building of new business models in conjunction with Product to support internal business or external market driven initiatives, re-structuring of existing client business, re-engineering initiatives driven by industry changes and internal projects / initiatives. As well as supporting existing Clients change.

    Role Purpose:

    The Functional Analyst role is to support and understand systems and applications in order to deliver the business requirements as part of the CM&D team that then enables HSS to provide services to our Clients. Functional analysis is the analysis of our technology platforms and enables the business to make the right choices in the changes it executes. The discipline identifies needs, captures and analyses requirements and contributes to the assessments and recommendations of options available to ensure the right solution is identified, agreed and progressed.


    • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver artefacts as needed
    • Utilize experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required
    • Work independently and with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
    • Drive and challenge business unit and customers on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
    • Leverage strong analytical and product management skills required to gain a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into applicable operational requirements
    • Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the implementation team through which requirements flow
    • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates and standards
    • Collaborate with implementation teams, supply lines and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs
