Low Latency C++ Engineer
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a global quantitative and systematic hedge fund that considers itself as much a software house as a trading firm, with technology at the core of its trading approach. Working within a team responsible for global connectivity and ultra-low latency backbone, you will play a pivotal role in developing next-generation software solutions, proprietary trading strategies, and algorithms to facilitate tens of thousands of trades per second. You will collaborate closely with business leaders to devise and execute custom software solutions that optimize the efficiency and performance of low latency execution systems.
Additionally, you will be an integral part of the development team, taking on a key role in constructing and improving the essential low latency components. This position has the potential to have an impact on multiple facets of electronic and algorithmic trading, ranging from exchange price feeds and core trading systems to back-testing engines, tick data management and exchange simulators. You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of investment management professionals, including quantitative analysts/developers, traders, and operations personnel, to design and build advanced systems that will ensure the business remains at the forefront of the industry.
Ideally, you’ll have experience in the following areas:
- You must possess strong object-oriented knowledge, especially C++ (14/17), as well as low latency design for high-frequency trading systems and strategies.
- Knowledge of common algorithms, data structures, and their performance, and the ability to independently design complex systems are essential.
- Experience working in another buy side firm or a front office trading desk-aligned role
- Knowledge of market data feed handlers and execution gateways is advantageous.
- Experience with Python, C#, and modern browser frameworks is helpful but not required.
