I am currently looking for a MarkIT EDM Support Analyst/ Lead to join a top banking organisation based in London. The role will be a pcontract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

The interfaces team is a small team which supports and develops solutions on a middleware platform and MarkIT EDM.

MarkIT EDM is the master data platform covering Market, Instrument and Time-series data.

Middleware is the firm's transactional messaging platform based up IBM MQ.

Team lead will be hands-on and involved in both support and maintenance activities and coordination of the Interfaces Team.

This person will deliver integration solutions to support project and BAU initiatives, and provide high-quality support to the business and other Technology teams.

Design, development, testing of EDM solutions

Strict adherence to defect tracking and change control processes

Maintenance and support of test environments

Experience required

Strong first line support skills; able to own a problem through to its resolution

Knowledge of Markit EDM development best practices

Experience of MarkIT EDM and EDM implementations covering any of the following data sets: Market, Instrument, Party, Reference, Corporate Actions and Historical Time-Series

SQL

Investment banking background Advantageous

    I am currently looking for an eFX Test Analyst (FX Pricing) to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Design and execute high-quality test cases based on accurate business requirements analysis.

    Maintain a testing structure to facilitate future additions / amendments and ongoing execution.

    Troubleshoot QA environments, diagnosing and resolving issues prior to formal testing.

    Perform root cause analysis of issues to assist in determining the source of problems.

The candidate will collaborate in the support and maintenance of front office risk systems responsible for producing the risks that trading desks use for hedging, for risk management and regulatory reporting. The candidate will face the business directly and interact with traders, quants and the technology department on daily basis. Gathering evidence from servers (Linux, Windows), log files, databases (MSSQL) are involved in the day to day work. Principal duties and responsibilities:

Provide Application Production support for Trade Processing > Tier1) applications (FOCUS, CLIENTCLEARING).

Log and maintain Incident/Request tickets by ensuring data quality that can be used by management for metrics.

Monitor production environments and resolve any application / production issues keeping the team, business and mgt informed.

Write Production scripts to automate data extracts, frequently seen issues using tools like AUTOSYS and document them on wiki.

Analyze and Produce Requirement gathering and Functional specification for Middle office Operational processes.

Experience Required:

Functional/ Technical Application Support experience in the Investment Banking (preferably supporting Fixed Income products such as IRD/CRD derivatives, securities lending/Mortgages) business.

Good understanding of Full trade lifecycle and Front-to-back Transversal Trade processing workflows.

Prior exposure and familiarity to vendor (Murex, ICE, Markitwire) and clearing workflows is a huge plus.

Computing Skills Required:

Knowledge and expertise in RDBMS (Oracle or/and Sybase).

Strong PL/SQL skills, ability to write complex, advanced joins, SQL cursors, and triggers.

Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of prior Coding/Testing /Application Support experience.
