Java Developer- Northampton
My client, a Northampton based company has a great opportunity for a Java Developer. This is a permanent position where you will be accountable for the production of high quality software on a personal and team level. You will be responsible for making technical decisions that require a strong understanding of the problem domains and will provide technical direction and leadership to other team members. You will need to ensure developed code is of high quality and cost-effective to maintain.

Requirements:


Technical Specialism:


* Proficiency in Java and JavaScript;
* Good understanding of BDD/ATDD principles, techniques and application;
* Passionate about Software Craftsmanship ( e.g. Clean Code, Pair Programming, TDD/BDD, Refactoring);
* Knowledge of Object Orientated Programming/Design and associated concepts;
* Ability to work in a cross-platform environment ( Windows, MacOS, Linux);
* Experience and knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Other skills and experience:

* Demonstrable experience of taking very high level user stories through to live completion;
* Commitment to continuous learning and a thirst to acquire new knowledge;
* A natural collaborator keen to learn from and mentor others.

    £350 - £500 per day

    Senior Legal Counsel, Global Liquidity and Cash Management– 6-month contract

    Our client, a tier 1 global banking group, is looking for a Payments and Cash Management Lawyer looking at digital payments and ecommerce. They position will be Senior Legal Counsel within their (GLCM) area. It is a 6-month contract position offering £350 - £500 per day. The role is based in London.

    Responsibilities

    • The role will focus on contractual matters surrounding liquidity and cash management and you will be required to undertake negotiations
    • Collaboration with GLCM’s documentation and sales team will also be required
    • You will provide legal advice, support and legal risk management to payments and cash management eChannels area within the organisation

    Skills and experience

    • Qualified lawyer

This role will join the team on a journey of change, redesigning databases and ETL processes and implementing new applications and therefore you must be passionate and up for a challenge!

    You will play a key part in shaping the MI and BI, therefore giving the opportunity to make an impact on a growing department and business.

    • Minimum of 2 years commercial experience using SQL Server 2012 or above
