User Experience Lead - HTML / CSS / JavaScript / Wireframes / Prototypes / Storyboards

My client is currently recruiting for a User Experience Lead on a permanent basis in Northampton. The User Experience Lead will be responsible the successfully planning and development of user interactions and experiences across a number of digital channels and platforms. The User Experience Lead will take required business outcomes and design concepts and solutions, create design specifications in order to gain business agreement and enable technical teams to deliver the specifications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating digital experiences, meeting business and customer needs and delivering high quality deliverable within manageable time and cost constraints
  • Producing deliverable ) including customer research, sketches, sketches, journeys, wireframes, prototypes) to help drive design discussions, gain stakeholder approval and communicate development and testing requirements
  • Undertaking usability testing to validate team concepts and designs.
  • Challenging business propositions, providing clear reasoning and evidence
  • Working with different disciplines e.g. analysts, developers, risk, security, to promote shared understanding of the problem domain and create end to end solutions that meet all requirements
  • Creation and implementation of new ideas and thinking to improve both external customer experiences and internal customer / own team performance and quality
  • Ensuring all outputs adhere to all relevant policies and standards

Experience:

  • Strong UX skills and experience along with good understanding of UI practices and ideally some technical development skills e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android, iOS, etc.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of UX deliverables and their application including, but not exclusively:
    • Personas
    • Storyboards
    • Sketches / scamps
    • Wireframes
    • Prototypes
    • Journeys e.g. customer, user, process flows
    • Model e.g. content, mental
    • Maps e.g. empathy, experience, sitemap, user story
  • Be adaptable and able to self-manage own workload within minimum supervision, when either working alone or as part of a collaborative multi-disciplined agile team
  • Have excellent customer empathy and understanding
  • Have good usability testing and interview skills
  • Have good awareness and knowledge of areas within the key partnership required for effective experience planner including data, UI design, UI development and copywriting
  • Have strong communication skills with different audiences from different disciplines in order to achieve clear outcomes, consensus and resolve conflicts
  • Ensure knowledge of best practices, trends and design paradigms are kept up to date in order to deliver innovative, relevant and industry lead designs
  • Undertake knowledge sharing sessions to improve overall team effectiveness
  • Collaborate across design colleagues and provide peer reviews and critiques
  • Be an integral part of the design team set-up

  • Equities Asset Management Java Lead - Director Level - £160k
    £130000 - £160000 per annum bonus

    Equities Asset Management Java Technical Lead – Director Level – up to £160k base

    A leading Asset/Wealth Manager based in London are continuing an aggressive expansion of their Equities Trading platform. Because of this expansion they require a hands on technical lead to manage and continue the growth of the London technology trading stack. The role will involve; core java development, design and architecture, code review and general day to day management duties.

    The team work closely with Quants, Traders and other business critical stakeholders. The team itself are one of the most innovative within the organisation and operate within a hugely dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

    The successful candidate can look to receive between £130k and £160k base plus a healthy bonus.

    Requirements:

    • Extensive Core Java Systems development experience
    • Front office experience, ideally Equities product knowledge
    • Team leadership experience
    • Experience of code design/architecture and review.
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong academic background, ideally Comp Sci

  • C Quant/Strats Developer - Equities Trading - Associate/VP
    £70000 - £120000 per annum bonus

    C Quant/Strats Developer required - Associate/VP - Equities Trading - Business Reporting - £70k-£120k

    A market leading Quant/Strats team at a tier one investment bank require an exceptional C developer, ideally with some experience of Python to join their Equities Trading team. The team themselves work on the Equities Trading quantitative models and report dsirectly into the business. The role will provide the platform for a strong technologist and mathematician, to face off to Quants and Traders and work closely with them to implement cutting edge C models/solutions.

    This team require both exceptional technological skills (C on Windows) and mathematical/problem solving abilities (PhD in Mathematics or related subject highly desirable). Also a strong understanding of Derivative products, ideally Equities required.

    The succesful candidate can look to recieve between £70,000 and £120,000 base salary, either Associate or VP level (dependant on experience)

    This will also be backed by a bonus and package funded by the trading desk themselves.

    • Python highly desirable
    • Strong OO programming background
    • Derivative product knowledge (ideally Equities)
    • Strong mathematical/problem solving ability (ideally PhD level maths or similar)
    • Strong communication skills
