Mcgregor Boyall are currently looking for an Environment Manager for a FTSE 100 Financial Services business based in Northampton. This would be great opportunity for someone looking to join a global company with a diverse portfolio and multiple product steams.

This Environment Manager role will span release management, infrastructure, ops testing and service delivery. This team is responsible for delivering scalable, cost-effective release environments to the change delivery organization.

The Successful Environment Manager will need;

  • Solid understanding of IT release management and coordination, infrastructure environments and experience of supporting large scale infrastructure reliant, within an enterprise level organisations.
  • Previous experience of delivering mainframe solutions and back end systems would be preferred.
  • Requires a good understanding of cloud architecture/engineering and DevOps.
  • Familiarity with continuous deployment methodology and other common DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins and configuration tools such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible
  • Need strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Needs to have strong communications and reporting skills to produce process and control documents.
  • ITSN required and ITIL preferred but not essential.

  • Application Support Analyst (Windows/ IIS)- Banking- Permanent

    I am currently looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst (Windows/ IIS) to join a top bank based in London. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.



    Principal duties and responsibilities:

    Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the banks’ application suite

    Troubleshooting any issues that arise and implement fixes as required

    Provide assistance to other IT support teams for issues

    Trend recurring incidents and provide suitable long term solutions

    Work closely with the Database Administrators and Storage teams in relation to incidents, capacity management & service improvements

    Technical liaison with vendors as required

    Provide on-call support on a regular basis, working in a shift pattern

    Essential skills/experience:

    Experienced Application Support Analyst

    Windows Enterprise Operating Systems (Windows 2003 and above)

    Managing web applications (IIS/Application Server Roles)

    Networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

    Database connection methods (Oracle, SQL)

    Supporting web-based applications

    Good understanding of:

    Source Control Management

    Scripting (especially PowerShell)

    Citrix environments and application delivery via Citrix

    VMWare / Virtulisation

    Microsoft Dynamics CRM

    I am currently looking for an Equities/ Fixed Income Application Support Analyst (FIX/ UNIX) to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.

    Key responsibilities:

    Interact with various other support teams within the bank and also teams outside of the bank.
    Manage day to day production stability of applications, along with other members of the team.
    Maintain up to date knowledge of our products and be able to contribute ideas and recommendations that will provide continuous improvements in the use of technologies utilized

    Experience required:
