Strategy Lead - Cloud Data

£70000 - £90000 per annum

We are looking to recruit a senior strategy lead who has an indepth knowledge and understanding of big data and analytics that will allow you to develop the medium to long term strategy of to how to provide and shape cloud based data services to meet the needs of a varied and evolving market.
To be a success in this role you will be someone with a clear understanding of the vendor capabilities in the field of Cloud Big Data and Analytics aligned with the ability to assist stakeholders to define and prioritise their requirements. This will allow you to own and lead the development of the strategy and technology roadmap for cloud database distribution and work with stakeholders, architecture, development and vendors to deliver a capability that is second to none.

  • Non-Functional- Performance- Test Engineer- London- Contract
    £400 - £450 per day

    I am currently looking for an experienced Non-Functional Test Engineer (Performance) to join a top organisation based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.


    Responsibilities-

    • Execute the performance tests planned for each product release prior to shipment and present the results in order to inform release decisions
    • Plan and execute a continuous program of performance test case enrichment and increased coverage
    • Create and maintain the environments and reference databases required for regular performance test execution on the current major release and in-development releases of all products
    • Continuously seek to improve efficiency and effectiveness of performance test development through new and improved methods, techniques and processes
    • Publish regular performance benchmark reports
    • Ensure performance test automation components are supportable and maintainable by the provision of training and design documentation

    Qualifications

    • Experienced Non-Functional Test Engineer
    • Experience planning, estimating, designing, executing and analysing output from performance tests to satisfy NFRs
    • Familiar with performance testing tools (such as JMeter, MicroFocus Loadrunner/Performance Center, SOASTA), monitoring/logging tools (such as AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk) and other UNIX/Linux/Web monitors & performance analysis tools to diagnose and resolve performance issues
    • Understanding of common application technologies - Webserver, database
    • Testing types - Smoke/Sanity testing, Load, Incremental Load, Scalability, Stress, Soak

    Contract

    £400-450 per day

    Renowned Edinburgh based FS client requires a Business Continuity / Business Impact Assessment Consultant for a 6mth project.

    Responsibilities will include:-

    • Deliver various Business Continuity Management work programmes
    • Updating current Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
    • Improve all aspects of business continuity strategy.

    Essential Skills:

    • Completed end to end Business Impact Assessments ideally within an FS environment
    • Sound knowledge of business processes and identifying risks to the business

  • Front End Engineer - React Native - London
    £80000 - £130000 per annum

    A leading financial services organisation is looking for Front End Engineers to join their team as they undertake ambitious growth plans in 2020 by developing their digital banking platform. Paying up to £130k you will be based out of their state of the art London offices.

    They require multiple engineers, with strong experience of; JavaScript, large-scale systems and a strong interest in the latest technical advancements within their field, focused on front end mobile apps or web development with experience in React or React Native.

    The environment is typical of a fintech, with great levels of creativity and autonomy required, in order to best utilise this digital banking platform. Given the volume of their requirements for strong react native engineers, they are relatively open on salaries and offer a very competitive benefits package.

    They are looking to bring onboard software engineers from a diverse range of backgrounds; Investment Banks, Hedge Funds, Fintech and outside of the industry. For more senior candidates you can also expect to have input on architecture and design of the platform going forward.

    Requirements:

    • React Native
    • Javascript, HTML5, ES6 and other UI tools
    • React, TypeScript, Jest, Enzyme.
    • Continuous integration/deployment tools, including Jenkins.
    • Terraform in conjunction with cloud services providers such as Amazon Web Services
    • Build pipelines for mobile applications, included automated testing and mobile device farms (iOS and Android)
    • Strong academic profile (Comp Sci or Mathematics preferred)
    • Ability to work both as an individual and as a team
    • Experience of the full software development lifecycle.
