Network Engineer | CCNP | Routing & Switching

£300 - £460 per day + lunch allowance

Network Engineer | Contract | London | 3 Months rolling | IMMEDIATE
Global Trading Market's client based in Central London looking for a CCNP certified Network Engineer to provide Network Operations Centre interface to my client's customers.
The ideal candidate would be immediate available or have a 2 week notice period maximum.


  • Network operations handling all aspects of customer connectivity
  • Executing daily operational procedures
  • Handling day to day customer network change requests
  • Periodic datacenter installations

- Mandatory - CCNP or equivalent level of knowledge of networking principals with specific emphasis on switching and routing technologies
- Mandatory - Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocols and network troubleshooting using packet capture
- Mandatory - Analytical problem solver, plans and priorities to work efficiently
- Good working knowledge of Linux & Windows operating systems and using network tools
- Parsing of network and firewall logs
- Understanding of multicast routing and ability to troubleshoot multicast issues
- Understanding of VPN’s and firewalls for customer access
- Good working knowledge of BGP
- Able to travel to datacenters out of hours to carry out installations
- Able to use ticketing systems consistently and follow defined standards

    Pension & Benefits Manager who will become a trusted expert in Pension & Benefits for a very progressive and international brand.

    This role will play a key part in building a comprehensive pensions and benefits offering for its employees.

  • Automation Test Engineer

    Globally renowned firm require a strong Technical Test Engineer to join their large team in the city. You'll be working on the testing and test automation development of APIs, Web Services and Microservices.

    Must have experience includes the following:-

    • Strong understadning of the design principles for automation frameworks
    • Previous API / Web Services test automation experience
    • SOAP and REST
    • Deep level of functional test experience including test planning, test coverage and defect tracking
    • Comfortable with the TDD and BDD framework

Low Latency Linux Engineer


Low Latency Linux Engineer - Kernel - Electronic Trading - FX - Contract - London

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Low Latency Linux Engineer to join a global financial services client on a contract basis. The successful candidate will join an established development team to assist with managing the infrastructure, performance analysis and tuning of the existing applications and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing and maintaining low latency co-located infrastructure.
  • Design, test and implement changes to reduce application and infrastructure latency.
  • Working with third party vendors and exchanges to ensure new features / functionality are optimally designed and tested.
  • Help to diagnose and resolve performance issues within the production environment.

Skills and experience required:

  • Linux kernel expertise and tuning skills
  • Understanding of hardware layer of software execution stack (CPU components, QPI/NUMA, RDIMM, TLB, ultra-low latency network adapters)
  • Solarflare
  • Deep understanding of networking (all OSI layers, expertise in TCP and UDP), familiarity with PTP
  • RHEL7 server administration and patching

Linux Engineer


Linux admin/developer required for an initial 6 month contract with a global financial services clients Glasgow based offices. To be successful in this role you will have most or all of the below:

  • Linux experience in an enterprise level environment – including UNIX system calls and low level O/S and network protocols.
  • Scripting experience in either Perl and/or Python
  • Configuration management experience in Puppet, Chef or Salt Stack to automate the management of a large scale Linux deployment.
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills – Hardware, Network and storage
