Network Security Engineer
McGregor Boyall has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Security Engineer to join a growing, multi-national private healthcare organization who is passionate about using technology to improve patient care and quality of life around the world. You will be based in their Glasgow office and work on global projects.
You will join an existing team who is responsible for the continuous performance of the global network. You will provide 3rd Tier support for the network infrastructure and security systems and will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for firewall and VPN issues, including taking leadership during problem determination, change planning and vendor oversight. You will also be given autonomy to drive process improvements to the security service delivery.
Experience Required:

  • Cisco/Sourcefire IDS/IPS (NGIPS)
  • F-5 Web Application Firewall technology
  • Palo Alto, Fortigate (Next Generation Firewall)
  • F5 Load Balancer
  • Scripting and database familiarity e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby
  • API understanding e.g. SOAP/REST (JSON, XML)
  • Preferred certifications: IPS Technology, WAF technology, Security Certifications

IT Support Analyst

IT Support Analyst required to join agricultural manufacturing client based in fife, the company was founded in 1985 and has grown to a £140 million turnover company. You would be part of reasonably small, high performing service desk team who support the whole business across two offices.

This is a first/second line service desk role, and the successful candidate will be required to provide support in person, remotely and over the phone. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package
Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience of working within a Windows domain (AD – setting up users/groups, DHCP (leasing and scopes), DNS, printers, print servers, file servers)
  • Experience of Exchange 2013 or above would be advantageous
  • Experience of supporting users with desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Mobile applications on the Android Platform
  • Experience of networking, cabling and Cisco hardware would also be useful
  • Previous experience working as a service desk or 1/2nd line support person would be beneficial although for the right candidate training would be provided.



Worth knowing:

  • You must have a full UK driving licence and own your own car as the location for the role requires you to be able to drive.
