Network Security Lead specialising in Firewalls - Glasgow Up to £90K

A great opportunity has arisen to join and lead a network security team within financial services. The team implement the company's Cybersecurity Strategy by architecting, engineering, deploying, and operating technical security controls and capabilities for network security.

We're looking for an experienced Firewall Engineer with excellent Firewall and VPN knowledge specifically Juniper or Fortinet. The role will involve leading a team in daily operations support and projects for Network Security Products & Services. This will involve various Firewall products and Network Access Control, new deployments, hardware refresh/upgrades, and migrations.

Working in a global team a good collaborative approach is required and as the Senior-level network security lead you will have a deep understanding of network and firewall infrastructure, IPSEC VPN and TCP/IP fundamentals.
You will be expected to provide oversight, organization and leadership in network security consultancy and operational stability of security infrastructure solutions which are DMZ focused.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High end knowledege on Firewall and VPN platforms (Juniper, Fortinet) running routing protocols and advanced features

  • Firewall deployment/configuration experience and troubleshooting application connectivity

  • Expert level understanding of general networking and design (Firewalls, Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, OSI Model, TCP/IP, Packet trace and analysis)

  • Strong capabilities with log search and analysis

  • Network Access Control techniques around 802.1x and MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB)

  • Create, review and maintain operational documentation and provide training on new procedures to lower level support teams

  • Strong experience with UNIX/Linux administration including shell scripting

    The company are expanding their cloud division and looking for DevOps Engineers to be part of their journey.

    As a DevOps Engineer, You will design and build cutting-edge infrastructure, cloud-based software products running on AWS (Amazon Web Services). You will also need knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform.

    The responsibilities

    • building and setting up new development tools and AWS infrastructure.
    • understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers.
    • working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
    • testing and examining code written by others and analysing results.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders to capture, analyze, and derive DevOps requirements
