I am working with a leading financial services client in Cheshire who are looking for a Solutions Architect to join one of the core technology functions as they undergo a period of team growth with the initiation of exciting new projects and developments. As a Solutions Architect, you will be required to work on projects which support the function of multiple different business areas, with the ability to provide technical consultancy to create effective solutions by pulling together concepts encompassing a range of technologies.

This role is open to candidates who come from production focused roles with heavy production/engineering experience, with some experience in architecture who are willing to develop their skills to full Solutions Architect level.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Educated to Bachelor's Degree level, or equivalent qualification(s) with relevant work experience, with systems integration experience mandatory
  • At least 2-5 years experience in a Solutions Architect role, or a product/engineering or design oriented role with exposure to architecture
  • Candidates with experience from a financial services, multimedia, retail or other complex environments preferred
  • Strong skills with Java 8, streaming APIs and Lambda expressions
  • Solid understanding of Windows environment technologies
  • Previous experience of working an end to end solution design process
  • Solid understanding of Service Oriented Architectures, with certifications such as TOGAF or BCS
  • Abilities to influence technical strategy through strong stakeholder management skills



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with lead architects in the team to drive forward best practices in solutions architecture and technical road maps
  • Work across a number of different technical landscapes to provide new solutions to multiple business functions in the portfolio
  • Champion best practices through use of existing architecture patterns and resources whilst presenting ways to implement new ones to establish a technically forward landscape
  • Analyse and develop platform architecture to ensure that all individual components make up a high quality technical estate
  • Take a leading role in the production and implementation of new architecture solutions, controlling all risks and governance issues through effective control frameworks
  • Present ideas to senior stakeholders clearly to add value to the technical landscape of the business

  • Technical Product Manager - Office 365 - Windows 10 (contract)
    £450 - £550 per day

    A leading Investment Bank seeks a Technical Product Manager to work on a large scale Office 365 deployment and Windows 10 migration.

    Therefore it is essential that all applicants have Office 365 deployment experience on a large scale for a multinational company - and preferably some Windows 10 exposure within an Agile environment. Previous Financial Services is not needed, however, knowledge of the Office 365 is essential.

    As this is a Technical Product Manager position you will be expected to perform the following duties on a day to day basis –

    A multinational company seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on a permanent basis to help build massively scalable software and systems, proactively guard against cyber threats, and leverage machine learning alongside financial engineering to continuously turn data into action. The role will be based in Nuremberg, Germany.

    Therefore it is essential that all applicants have prior SRE experience, skills in the administration, orchestration and maintenance of tool chains and skills with current script languages.

    As this is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer position you will be expected to perform the following duties on a day to day basis –
