Middleware Engineer - Java / RHEL / Chef / AWS / Cloud

My client is currently recruiting for a Middleware Engineer on a permanent basis in Knutsford. The Middleware Engineer will be responsible for developing middleware solutions as well as create and enhance the strategic platforms and integrated components to support the middleware service and PaaS. You will also be responsible for the delivery and orchestration of solutions to support the provisioning of Middleware Services and instances of middleware technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical review and agreement of project requirements and feasibility
  • Work as part of the Agile team on estimating and managing progress of all required work tasks
  • Comprehensive and clear documentation of the architecture, designs and deliverable
  • Responsible for the technical implementation and delivery of business features
  • Responsible for the design, documentation, coding, testing and hand over to production support of large, complex applications
  • Configure, develop and test systems component, supporting scripts and tools as required
  • To maintain and interest and knowledge of new innovations in Middleware technologies
  • Design, implementation and lifecycle of Middleware standard builds

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Agile development processes and tooling
  • Strong knowledge of Middleware technologies is required to help define the technical, tooling, lifecycle, security, governance and processes around solutions
  • Good relationship management skills required to liaise with stakeholder teams to ensure solutions are delivered
  • Designing and developing robust large-scale solutions
  • Knowledge of software maintenance and patching
  • Knowledge of logging and monitoring technologies and processes
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security and authentication
  • Strong scripting and development skills

Development skills:

  • Messaging technologies - IBM MQ, IBM Integration Buss, Red Hat AmQ, Red Hat Fuse

  • Internal Auditor
    £45000 - £65000 per annum

    They are looking for an Auditor to join their team as, at present, it is outsourced to the Big 4. This is a stand alone role, which has excellent progression and exposure to senior stakeholders in the UK and China as well as exposure to different areas of the business.     Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher;
    • Minimum 2 years internal audit / internal audit experience gained within banking environment, ideally within international branch;
    • Exposure to wholesale and corporate banking activities;
    • Good report writing and communication skills;
    • Demonstrable good understand of audit and up-to-date technical knowledge;


    The Successful Applicant
    The successful candidate for this role will have the following exposure:

    • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA qualified preferred, or working towards these qualifications;
    • Working experience in top auditing firm viewed favourably but not essential;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to analyse and solve problems.
    • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
    • Results and detail focussed.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Willing to do international travel to our other offices when required, though not frequent
