Project Manager- Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance, AML, Sanctions, Reporting, Anti-Bribery, Change, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile- Permanent- Chester

A prestigious financial services organization are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of change and transformation initiatives in the financial crime and risk business area. Your role as Project Manager will focus on coordinating and directing a series of complex projects, and delivering these solutions on an end to end basis, taking responsibility for ensuring a portfolio of change in line with regulatory and compliance requirements, and relevant governance and control frameworks.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Educated to at least Bachelor's degree level, or equivalent qualification(s) and demonstrable work experience
  • Certification in PMP and/or PRINCE2
  • Experience of project management delivery using Agile methodology
  • At least 5-7 years experience in project management roles, preferably in financial services or similarly regulated environments with exposure to AML, Transactions Reporting and Monitoring, and other financial crime risk management programmes
  • Extensive experience of managing transformation delivery in regulatory, risk and compliance initiatives
  • Strong skills delivering projects to tight timescales in complex, volatile environments



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guide activities and lead delivery strategy to make sure that the project is delivered in line with all internal policies, frameworks and SLAs
  • Promote high quality delivery to champion best practice for the business in line with the regulatory responsibilities of the financial crime and risk areas
  • Put together business cases for particular delivery methods and plans, and produce the delivery plans, governance and control frameworks, and touch points to report on project status
  • Monitor and manage any risks to the planned effective delivery of the project and take ownership of resolving these issues, escalating when necessary
  • Liaise with and involve all key stakeholders across the business and relevant committees to develop strong strategic relationships and achieve stakeholder buy in
  • Manage the division and delegation of tasks in the project delivery team to optimize and best use skills within the team
  • Take on line management responsibility for junior colleagues, and act as a leader by setting standards and expectations, and leading by example
  • Work with Agile methodology and a flexible approach to working

    Information Security Project Manager

    Our financial services client has established an Information Security Programme to assess and evaluate threats and to enhance their considerable capabilities, to ensure that they are always at the forefront of Information Security.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create credible plans that set out required outputs, tasks and resources to achieve the project’s objectives
    • Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will work key stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver multiple concurrent technology projects to meet security objectives as set out in their information security roadmap
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, promote the work of the project and ensure the project receives adequate support

  • Procurement & Expenses SME
    £500 - £525 per day

    My leading global investment banking organisation are looking to bring on a Procurement & Expenses SME to oversee the design of a global procurement approach for a major finance programme. This candidate is required to have hands-on experience of Fusion Configuration, this technical knowledge is required to deliver on approvals and configuration of feeder systems.

    This SME will be tasked with:

    • Providing P2P SME knowledge and input to the Programme Leadership and Senior Stakeholders
    • Ensuring Global Procurement Design alignment, understand and challenge any changes to global procurement design to ensure change is for regulatory/tax reasons only
    • Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for the Core Solution team to review Solution design (global template), Design variations, CR requests & Design Authority

    Candidates must have:

    • Extensive proven hands on experience of working with Oracle P2P modules (or other ERP systems), preferably Oracle Fusion
    • Proven experience delivering Global Procurement Transformation projects
    • Proven experience and Strong understanding of procurement processes – particularly P2P
    • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes or experience working with AP teams
    • Good understanding of 3rd party contracts and the management of 3rd party relationships
    • Experience working with Supplier / Vendor Relationship Management teams and other Procurement teams
    • Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint
    • Ability to use process mapping tools e.g. Visio
