I am working with a financial services client who are looking got a GDPR Project Manager to join their organization to support the delivery of the company's GDPR compliance strategy over the next 9-12 months. The GDPR Project Manager will be a key figure in the project and will work closely with the Programme Lead to ensure that all activities are coordinated during roll out, and will provide expertise to other colleagues in the team.

You will bring a strong and proven background in regulatory change project management and have exposure to GDPR, data protection and data governance compliance practice.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Proven track record of managing long term strategic initiatives and regulatory business change projects
  • Solid grasp of GDPR
  • Previous project management experience in GDPR, data protection, data governance and information management
  • An understanding of how to introduce new policies and procedures into an organization in a series of coordinated activities
  • An understanding of information risk management, records management and information asset management
  • The ability to bring a background knowledge of technical systems and infrastructure to collaborate with the Programme Lead to roll out new Privacy by Design measures and PIA's
  • Abilities to advise on how all security and compliance procedures need to look to comply with GDPR, processing of data, and how infrastructure needs developed to include heightened security and group access controls

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with the Programme Manager and execute management duties of the team, overseeing the coordination of activities to the agreed timescale
  • Provide training and expertise to more junior colleagues to ensure quality delivery of work streams in a timely manner, and bring subject matter expertise around regulatory change and GDPR
  • Oversee the project roll out of new processes and plan to minimize disruption to BAU activity from the project
  • Give technical advice where needed and shape the delivery strategy of new IT infrastructure to ensure that IT security and data protection standards are heightened to comply with GDPR and related regulations
