Operational Risk

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The incumbent will be responsible to support the Group ORM function in overseeing implementation of the enhanced Operational Risk Framework within EITHER their Wholesale Banking Division OR within their Business Support Function (covering Operations/Technology/Strategy/Legal/Finance/HR)
  • Day-to-day interaction with the Wholesale Banking Group (or Business Support function/s) and assisting them in risk identification and assessment efforts aimed at preventing and/or minimizing operational losses.
  • For the role that sits within their Wholesale Banking Group the coverage would fall across the following Business Units: Institutional Clients, Transaction Banking, Mid Corporate, Commercial Banking, Investment Banking. Candidates with some level of experience in an OR role covering one of these areas would be preferred but is not essential.
  • For the role that sits within their Business Support Functions then the coverage would fall right across their key support and enablement functions such as Technology/Operations/Strategy/Legal/Finance/HR/Risk etc. Candidates with a strong Banking Operations background would be preferred for this role.
  • Responsible to deliver on the goal to complete the revamp of the RCSA, KRIs and Control Testing for GBS by Q1 2020

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Operational Risk Management for the Wholesale Banking Group with strong execution skills in rolling out risk assessment and frameworks (including RCSA, KRI and Control Testing experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree is a must.
  • Working knowledge of leading operational risk practices ideally gained within a reputable international bank.
  • Ability to deal at a senior level and lead projects as a subject matter expert within the Operational Risk domain
